Old Man of Stoer
A beautiful and not challenging clifftop walk to a spectacular sea stack. It is boggy in places so you definitely need good shoes. The cliffs are immense so if you don't have a head for heights stay away from the edge! Taking your time it takes about 45 min to get level with the stack.

Stunning with good weather. Very wet underfoot but fine with hiking boots. You can get to the vantage point in about 35-40 mins of strong hiking. Reasonable inclines in places. Highly recommended.

A lovely walk with stunning views.Remarkable rock formations. The walk is a little longer than the information suggested so be prepared for that - it is definitely worth it though!

A visit to the Old Man of Stoer is a must if you are in the area. Do keep in mind that this hike can be difficult for some. The first part does have two different paths, strenuous" and "moderate". The strenuous will be very difficult if you are not used to walking steep grades. Always have rain gear with you as well! The views on this hike are very rewarding

Disappointed with the path. Road blocked with heavy stones. Decide to take a walk (26 minutes according to Google maps); but had to give up after completing nearly 20 minutes walk (to avoid risk being a solo traveler) as the path was muddy and slippery. It might be thrilling journey if you are traveling as a group.2 stars to warn fellow travelers to be prepared.

Beautiful walk along the coast, and you don't have to go all the way to get great photos of the rock itself. Approximately 2 hours for the short tour. There are no public toilets, so keep that in mind when you visit!

We followed the coastline from the lighthouse and it took well over an hour to reach it, however we discovered a higher path on the return journey that was much quicker! Very boggy and muddy walk but amazing coastal views, totally worth it.

Beautiful walk along the coast with gorgeous vistas. Not an easy walk if you have mobility issues. There’s one gully with steep steps and no handrail. Our person with parkinsons couldnt manage the steps due to balance. But, you dont have to walk all the way out to enjoy the view.

Some fabulous views of Stoer Lighthouse and The Old Man of Stoer and an enjoyable walk that isn't overly strenuous, though some areas of the path can be boggy and the path isn't obvious in some areas.A good sized area available to park in (for cars and motorhomes) and though there is a toilet available, its opening hours are limited and it wasn't available when we visited.Note, not to be confused with the Old Man of Storr on Skye, as some reviewers below have

Absolutely a MUST see! The trail, the views, the experience are something you'll remember for a life time time. The trail is steep with inclines and steps. Plenty of parking available, but due to the popularity, you may have to wait for someone to leave. Bathrooms are located at the parking lot. Parking fee applies.
