Lambeth Register Office

I have for 6 weeks now been trying to book a citizenship ceremony appointment without success. I have tried to call - no one to speak to, just an automated unhelpful message - and emailed 3 times , have not received a reply.Their lack of response is effectively causing a blockage in completing the citizenship process.Have now reported them to the Home Office and will make a formal complaint to the council

The Lambeth Register Office is staffed by wonderful, hard-working, friendly professionals. They co-ordinated the entire process of our wedding from the formal aspects of the Notice of Marriage to the Ceremony itself and I cannot praise them enough. I had the pleasure of being seen by Dean who registered our daughter’s birth when I came without an appointment (which was unexpectedly and erroneously booked at Southwark). I didn’t realise the mix up until arriving at Lambeth to be told that their lunch hours are 1-2pm so our confirmation appointment of 1pm was impossible - I wouldn’t have made it back to Southwark and knew they may reject seeing me as our daughter was born at King’s which is Lambeth. After a friendly lady who had directed me to the building on arrival noticed I seemed lost and I explained the mix up, she had a chat with the register office, Dean happily agreed to see me and deal. I was relieved as it was a 6 week wait for the slot and going around town with a newborn is no easy feat! Highly recommend their hospitality, compassion and professionalism

Don’t book here for oath taking ceremony. It has been more than 2 weeks and still cant book online for the ceremony. No one replies to the email, automated voice reply when you call them.
