Lookers Škoda Guildford

I popped into the garage to have look at the Skoda Karoq. The service immediately received from George was exceptional and when we then made the decision to purchase the continual care was superb. We are delighted with our new car and would thoroughly recommend this garage.

From start to finish Lookers were excellent. Great communication, individual service and awareness of what was happening with my car. The online tracker and video inspection made my feel like I knew what was going on and why. I will definitely use Lookers again and highly recommend them to others.

My wife dropped the car off with the AA mechanic. The mechanic told the service desk what the issue was and what needed doing. My wife was told that she would be charged for diagnosing the problem. She told them that they had just been told what the problem was and to not do diagnostics. Upon collection, diagnostics had been done anyway and we were charged for something we specifically didn’t ask for.Secondly, they left the engine cover off afterward and forgot to put it back on. Resulting in my wife having to go back again! Terrible value for money, poor customer services. Not to be used again. I’ll use Allams of Epsom in future as never been disappointed there.

My experience of buying a caravelle from lookers van centre was really great - thanks to George Bourne. George was very approachable and knowledgeable. Always answered email queries promptly and would go the extra mile to be helpful. An excellent service in all respects and pleasure to buy my car here.

The worst service from this garage. Do try and avoid them if you can. The service team kept refusing to take the car in when Skoda Assist had already marked it URGENT to be seen by the garage. After several calls to Skoda HQ, three emails to the CEO, and 17 calls to Skoda Customer Service UK, they were still refusing to take it in and give a courtesy car or arrange for a rental. It was only when Skoda Assist (AA technician) had, after the third call out in four days, insisted that it was driven to the garage and the workshop had to look into it. The AA also arranged the rental car. The car is a 23 registration with faults and they simply did not want to admit to it. We still have no report from them. The front desk has one member with ZERO manners or any grain of decent way to greet a customer. An acknowledgment of a person entering the showroom, a smile, or a short I will be with you shortly"

Seen promptly. Job done while I waited and had a short walk round the nearby park, free coffee. Very comfortable roomy, waiting area. Service Team were very polite and communicative. Job completed quickly and car given much needed complimentary clean inside and out. What more could you want ? RR

Absolutely unacceptably bad service all round. I didn’t deal with one person that I would call professional. I visited Lookers Guildford to arrange the purchase of a car that was at another Lookers dealership. A manager of some sort I think, although he didn’t act like one, sitting on the desk to talk to me, put pressure on me to pay a deposit for the vehicle on the day to secure it given that it would need to be transported, saying that I’d need to pay for petrol involved in the delivery and also that the car should arrive by the end of the week. A salesperson took me through the sales process with a lacklustre attempt at selling me the various extras. He was ill prepared in his delivery and needs some training in this regard, as well as in his phone manner, which is informal and his email writing which is grammatically incorrect. I signed the documents required of me on the day and two days later the salesperson rang me, chasing my signature. Clearly the required checking had not taken place. The manager signed the agreement digitally to confirm the sale on this day. What followed was many phone calls initiated by me over the next eleven days as I tried to work out the whereabouts of the vehicle. Each time the salesperson would be vague about where the car was and when it would be delivered. Each time I had to ring and ask and each time there was no clear answer and seemingly no effort made to locate the whereabouts of the vehicle. 13 days after I had put down my deposit I received a phone call from the salesperson who told me that the car had been sold to somebody else. I was astounded that he could not give me any detail on what had happened. I couldn’t believe that it had gone this long before contact had been made with the other dealership and the news of the mistake had been discovered. I felt that I was not being told the truth. He said that this had ‘never happened before’ and ‘he was not sure what had happened’. At this point I asked for my deposit back and said that I wanted it back that day. It took two days to be returned. I rang the dealership and asked to speak with the manager. I spoke to a different salesperson, who spent the conversation talking over me as I tried to explain the situation. I’d recommend that he undertake some phone conversation training. He did send an email to the original salesperson and the manager asking for the deposit to be refunded on that day, which it was not, and for the manager to call me, which he did not.This whole experience represents an absolute litany of failures on the part of all Lookers Guildford staff that I encountered. I will absolutely never, ever return to a Lookers and will be telling friends, family and colleagues about the awful service that was provided. I am still due an apology for this and a truthful explanation of what happened. I will not be filling out any further complaints information, to be honest I need to spend me time looking for an alternative car.
