I walked by Café u Coin and decided to have breakfast here with a friend. We were seated immediately, but it took too long to receive menus and even longer to order our food. This is the big downfall of this restaurant: the service. While the food was not so great, and our coffees were lukewarm, it took too long to order and get our food. After eating croissants and coffee, we waited nearly 20 minutes to get our actual breakfast, and the waiter tried to give us back our used silverware before I asked him for clean silverware. When I asked the waiter for our bill and the card machine, he disappeared, and we had to go in to pay as we needed to leave.I think this restaurant needs to reevaluate its food service and timeliness standards.

Like a little bit of France, in London. The pastries are great, the coffee is sold as something secondary, but tastes amazing. Highly recommend!

My couple and I went to have breakfast to this place. We arrived at 10 am and we could have breakfast with no problem.Regarding the food and beverages, we finished super satisfied. We ordered a Full Tradicional English Breakfast and an Avocado and Scrambled Eggs. The full tradicional breakfast was all I was expecting. My girlfriend super liked the scrambled eggs and the avocado; they came with some french toasts, so it was a very complete breakfast.The place is not very big so it might be difficult to get enouh space for big groups.

I went to eat here with my partner I asked for an apple juice they brought out apple and ginger. Then I ordered a chicken avo and mayo ciabatta on white bread. They brought out chicken avo tomato mayo and melted cheese after I explained that this was not what I ordered they said they would fix it when my food came back out again after my partner had already had finished his food they brought me a seeded ciabatta which I also did not ask for. After receiving two of the wrong items I did not want to order again for them to get it wrong so I left it and not only did we leave it they STILL charged us for the sandwich of mine they got wrong.Not the first time this has happened.I am never one to leave a review but the service they showed today was a big 0 from me :(

Very relaxed and friendly. Good service. We really liked it and went there twice for breakfast. We sat outside in November because they have outdoor heaters. Excellent coffee!

Food: Have had different meals here over the years, overall it seems average.Venue: Venue is clean, a bit cramped indoors but still ok.Staff: Generally polite.Negative:Forced Service charge, even without real service:Had a main meal which I went up to order,put the service charge for it even though I wasn’t properly waited on like a normal restaurant,worse this happened without being told.I noticed the price on the till differed from the menu price.As a goodwill gesture I paid it.Later I ordered a tart,before I took it to my table I noticed an increased price again,I asked to have the service charge taken off as I’m aware there isn’t a legal obligation to pay it in this situation,plus I didn’t have “real” service.Person at till said he can’t take it off as the till adds service charge automatically.So even if you’re having an order to go you’ll still be given this charge.Worse is the deceitfulness of it as this isn’t explained upfront.Feedback:Please take off the automatic service charge,especially for cases when no real service is given when a person comes to the till.Not fair to trick/pressure customers.
