Staff are always very helpful and approachable. The guitar tech is an absolute wizard- had 2 guitars repaired/ upgraded there and have been astounded by the quality each time and prices were very reasonable.

I have bought many items over the years from this shop and that is largely due to the wonderful helpful staff who are all genuine musicians as I am and speak the same language. They are patient and kind and always allow me time to familiarise myself with a new instrument or piece of equipment until I am sure that I have selected the right item to purchase. It is well stocked and it has the atmosphere are they genuine old fashioned music shop with all the traditional values one would expect from such a place. I would recommend this shop to anyone whether they are professional musicians such as myself or beginners

A small independent musical instrument shop is a rare thing these days and so nice to see. JD is a welcoming, friendly shop with polite and knowledgeable staff. It's my go to for anything guitar related and highly recommended. Please support local businesses like this.

Even though they didn't have what we were looking for, the shop looks quite well stocked. The sales rep was most helpful as well even though he couldn't provide a sale. Worth looking into.

Popped in for a small practice amp while we were on holiday and we weren't disappointed. My son picked up a second hand amp along with the usual capos and plectrums that we always seem to need and the guys in the shop were realy accommodating and happy to let us browse. Worth a look.

Had problems with my semi acoustic guitar which had 2 built in pick ups . The parts were like hens teeth to find but they went beyond the call of duty to find them .It took a few weeks but was well worth the wait as the guitar came back sounding better than ever . The staff are so friendly and helpful when you go in the shop and you never feel any pressure to buy anything, not like some other music shops . I would recommend a visit to view all there lovely guitars and Amps and other musical instruments, the shops a delight to visit . I’ve only lived in Scotland for 3 months so it’s nice that I’ve found a delightful shop like this were you can browse until your hearts content.

Love the staff here. They are really informative and helpful people. Bought my first acoustic guitar from here nearly 2 years ago and did my first Fender electric guitar setup here recently. It was flawless job. And I will see them more in the future. Thanks guys!

Just had re-wire and re-fret on my 1977 telecaster ( a long time over due) . Alec, I can't thank you enough for the superb job on my guitar, it plays and sounds like I remember it some 35 years ago when I first got hold of it!I can highly recommend these guys for any work on vintage guitars, not always easy to find and trust someone with your guitar.Thanks again.Dave mann.
