Checkmate Birmingham
Absolutely fantastic place to play chess and an amazing bunch of people! Been going to Checkmate! Birmingham since the very first one in Moseley and just love how much it has grow in a year!! Having 3 different venues (2 inside and 1 ousite, all with great atmosphere) and weekly meet ups, I recommend this place to everyone. All different level players show up weekly ranging from beginner to 2000+ ECF rating!! Always a good laugh and is never too serious about the games. Incredible place for some social chess and probably the best place in Birmingham to place sociable chess!
