After viewing this website. I visited Glenn at his workshop and discussed my furniture via photos on my phone. I then took them to him and discussed further what was desired for each piece, work involved, likely outcome and cost of work. His knowledge and experience is obvious and allows you to make an informed decision that suits you and the furniture. A small oak shelf unit he cleaned and polished. A small folding table he stripped back, removed marks and polished to a fantastic finish. An old TV in a cabinet he revived all surfaces as best he could otherwise it was a full strip back which was not economical. All 3 pieces look fantastic compared to when i took them to him. i am now proud to have them back in the house on show and to enjoy. Thank you Glenn. Oh and a bonus ! He's a very nice chap.

During the last 12 months i have presented Glenn with several restoration challenges to repair the frames of various antique chairs which I reupholster. The standard and quality of his work has always exceeded my expectations and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Took 2 of our leather dining chairs to Glenn on a Saturday morning for him to assess as the joints on the front legs had come apart. That afternoon received photos and a telephone call to explain what the problem was, how he would repair and the likely cost. The following Thursday received an email to say they were ready! So impressed! Glenn is a lovely man and a quality craftsman and we would HIGHLY recommend him. We will be contacting him again soon about French polishing our dining room table and cabinet. After 2 or 3 generations I wanted to have a games compendium restored for use by the next generation in our family, it is a special item to the family. Having communicated with Glenn he immediately gave confidence that he would undertake the work appropriately and well. I visited his workshop and was pleased with the caring and helpful approach he displayed. The results justify the confidence he instilled and we are very pleased. I am sure i will take more projects to Glenn.

Having inherited some old and exceptionally battered and tatty furniture which, although of little monetary value had great sentimental value, we needed some help!We contacted Glenn for his advice and were delighted that he agreed to tackle the impossible. He advised us as to what would be best for the furniture and how he could sympathetically restore it. His knowledge and expertise were obvious to us straightaway as he talked us step by step through the options available to us. He is so easy to talk to and his friendly nature made dealing with him a pleasure.Well, we have just taken delivery of the finished items and the results are quite unbelievable, what a transformation! We really appreciated Glenn's unbiased opinion when assessing an item of furniture that had been badly damaged due to a house move. He is obviously very knowledgeable, and was extremely helpful. We were very grateful for is advice and we would have no hesitation of using him in the future .

Glenn has restored a Victorian portable jockey scale for me, I am absolutely delighted with the results.The scale had been stored in a shed probably since before World War II when the then owner gave up riding racehorses.Glenn managed to dismantle it and the separate parts were - leather seat (recovered) - brass upper scale mechanism and seat arms (shell blasted and polished) - wooden top, frame and legs were dismantled, repaired and French polished - steel/iron under scale mechanism shell blasted and repainted. He then got it back together in working condition, looking absolutely beautiful.Glenn did a wonderful job, everyone who sees it marvels.Thank you Glenn
