Stein's Deli
The staff were very helpful and great but unfortunately the food was very disappointing especially for the price and the size, my family had a Spanish omelet thing and it was very disappointing with no flavour other than just fried egg and potato nothing making it that tasty which is disappointing and the same with the large ham tart it was flavourless and the egg hadn’t settled properly. Hope this improves going on especially with the price we paid for something that was nothing but two ingredients walked together.

Have your wits about you! Lovely presentation and goods good quality but wasn’t till I got home that I realised I’d been charged £15+ for a jar of marmalade and an ice cream cone! Should have been circa £7! My mistake I guess for not paying attention and being in a rush!

Great selection of meats, cheeses and delicious treats. Nice selection of Cornish ciders and wines, plus various kitchen items. Well worth the visit. Please note the prices are reflected in the name

Stein's Deli
Nice little place with varied food and gifts. We bought a few little things to take back from our hols. Only downside was one of the staff. I was buying a few items and then saw canolis in the deli.....I asked my other half if she wanted and she said yes. Unfortunately, I can't have due to intolerance and she looks after her body, so she asked for one and it was a holiday treat. A comment was made because I only chose to buy one....I ignored it. The same person served me when I got to the counter with the canoli and several other items. When I paid she gave me the receipt and said 'keep the receipt incase you choke on your canoli' I was taken aback with this. I can't eat one but my wife had one as a treat as we had traveled from the Highlands for hols and this place was on our tick list in Cornwall. Loved all his places but this left a bad feeling

I know that Mr Stein has taken over Padstow - but if it's helping keep people in jobs it can't be a bad thing. Slightly disappointed with the deli. Not a great variety of stock - just felt very empty. I know I went out of season but even so. Looks lovely, it was well presented, just not much presented...Staff were all outstanding, though, which is always a bonus!

This used to be fantastic and a real treat when in the area, this time was poor food, poor hygiene and chaotic staff. The wearing of gloves but not changing when handling non food or mixed food items. One staff member adjusting his watch but not cleaning or changing gloves. Orders wrong and then billed wrong.Poor quality and poor value food, also little choice.Flies everywhere including all over the fresh food and clean glasses.Personal items stored in food preparation areas.

Deli items are delicious but everything else is overpriced.I was overcharged for sausages from the fridge and they were tough and unpleasant to eat anyway. None of us could finish them.

Popped in here and bought a scotch egg. I wish I hadn’t bothered as dry, and no real flavour. So disappointed especially as very expensive which I wouldn’t mind if full of flavour but it wasnt

Try Rick Steins Cornish Pasties!.Me and my family tried almost all of the pasties on offer in Padstow and in my opinion Rick Steins was the best, they did not scrimp on the meat! (cherry tree cafe coming in a close second by the way). The deli has loads of interesting foods/drinks and cooking utensils on offer as well.

Such a nice little shop to browse around. Some nice home bits. Really nice Jams and chutneys! The deli is very nice, some really nice fish, meats and potato salad! Will definitely be returning! Expensive compared to most places but is such a nice treat!
