The WORST purchase I have ever had. It was ruined by rain. Every single rain drop was marked on the bag. The more it was exposed to rain the more marks. so I requested exchange. And they did actually. However they sent the low quality bag of which inside was not the same as the original bag. So I returned it as I was embarrassed to use it in public. It looked like an unfinished sample bag. I requested refund but they refused because it was over 30 days of purchase.They said it was on sale because it was more prone to be ruined by rain. And this was the reason why the bag was discontinued and discounted.What!It should have been warned and informed to the customer before purchase. If I knew this before I paid I would have not bought the bag. NEVER!Who would pay more than a hundred pounds for the bag which is destined to be ruined by rain in the UK?They stick to the Customers Rights Act and refuse to refund. And said 'sorry we could not meet your expectation of the quality.'They said I can collect my original bag which has the rain marks at my convenience. How kind!

I have purchased very well looking slippers. After wearing them 4 times (indoors) the seam ripped. The company has zero customer orientation. No replacement, not discount on a new pair, no friendly reply. Any cheap shoe would have been better than these pricey slippers. Stay away from this company.

I have finally found a place in London where I can find good quality leather shoes that are amazingly comfortable. I am quite difficult for shoes as they always hurt. These fit like a glove! It must be because everything is handmade.The staff were most helpful giving advice about the size I should buy and how to look after them. The Spanish manager and the young lady who also helped me were very kind and knowledgeable. I got the trainers, the moccasins and also the espadrilles, which I can't wait to wear when the weather gets better! Thanks a lot! Great work!

The company continues to display items (sneakers) which have not been available for two years. They should either re-stock or remove them from their website

Atrocious customer service. I puchased a pair of slippers in which a hole developed after 48 hours (see another review on this page where another customer had the same experience). I contacted customer service (Marta) if you can call it that. She expressed surprise (a common technique as you will see from the reponses to complaints here) and asked to provide a photo, which I did. Despite repeatedly contacting Marta she has failed to respond. Despite the customer having a positive reputation for quality my experience has been that the products are poor quality and the customer service is non-existent and they clearly don't care about their reputation. Avoid at all costs.

Long time purchaser of La Portegna brand - with about 6 bags, about 8 pairs of shoes, belts, etc. Recently purchased 3 pairs of loafers of the same size. Size quality is extremely poor, as 2 did not fit (same style, just different colours). Customer service not interested, only in asking for me to post the shoes back. They charged me 50GBP to post the shoes to me in the first place and wouldn't even entertain splitting any postage costs for a replacement. Just want to spread the word and let all international purchasers aware of their replacement policy. Don't think I'll ever be buying from them again as no real effort to resolve this.

The men’s ESPADRILLES (light green) look great when new but so easily stain after a few days. After a month I’m embarrassed to wear them. Their customer service is appalling for a business selling ‘quality’ goods. I travelled down to London to exchange some other shoes, ( third attempt) as they said their shop was open, nobody there, a wasted journey. I had to chase them to get my discount, don’t reply to messages when they promise they will. Dreadful company.

I purchase loafers from this brand. Was happy with the product. Ordered 3 pairs over the phone, recently, and they promised to deliver before I left London. They didn't and I had to travel. Very disappointed in their poor service, as I had spent nearly 500 GBP. I will find another brand you should too. Shop elsewhere where an expensive product should also come with reliable service.You may have sent an answer, but you did not resolve the matter. Lame excuse. You just lost a loyal customer.

I bought a leather wallet from this store 2 years ago and it’s still looking new, functional & stylish. The wallet has dual color, one side white and the other side baby blue, very feminine. I later bought another one for a friend who lives in Slovenia with her monogram. We absolutely love the products from this store! Gracias La Portegna!

The customer service is pretty appalling, which is quite surprising for a boutique shop. I would say that the quality of the leather used for the products is great but the awful customer experience when it comes to fix problems with the product, makes you no wanting to go back. I can see from other reviews that other people had a similar experience to mine.
