The Larder
Outstanding selection of cheese and cold meats, plus plenty of other good offerings. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They stock Hot Numbers coffee (beans and coffee to take away).

I love coming here for some food treats - I always end up buying way more than I planned! The burgers from the butchers here are phenomenal - we’ll definitely get those again!

Excellent service and customer care during difficult period. While we are in lockdown and the supermarkets are often lacking in certain items, I have found that The Larder has been a great help. There is a good range of excellent quality produce - from meat, flour, fruits, veg, preserves, dairy items, gins, frozen veg. By phoning early in the day, you can select the items you need, and a member of staff will gather your shop for you. You pay over the phone, drive to the door and your box of goods Is placed in your boot. This is social distancing and customer service at a new level. If you should wish to shop yourself, latex gloves and anti-bac gel is provided. This has been the safest and best quality shopping experience I have had during these times. Highly recommended.

I had a great visit today guys. The shop was bustling despite the rain. Delicious sausage rolls, all sorts of speciality food. A fresh fish van out side and large bags of ash firewood. Everyone was lovely to talk to and so helpful. This will make a great place to shop for Christmas and I even got a proper stout heart shaped cabbage (Sainsburys only had an old limp variety). There was a lady selling her lovely looking food and farm books for Christmas. Can hardly wait to visit again! XXXX

They appear to have lost the plot under Covid 19 restrictions. The food is no better than anywhere else and it is certainly no cheaper. What The Larder has been is convenient and a pleasant shopping experience.Whilst the Covid 19 restrictions are stressful The Larder have not got access sorted. Only three people in the shop at one time. However you cannot see how many are in the shop without stepping over the threshold. This gives the staff the opportunity to shout at you for infringing their rules. At the last visit two staff shouted in unison.I am not shouted at any where else and at The Gog I am treated as an old friend and welcomed. So it is possible to still provide a pleasant shopping experience in spite of the regulations.

Very good high quality food. I've had a good chicken to roast, cakes (in portions) and bread recently. Expensive, wide range ingredients and prepared food available. Very friendly staff.

Good selection but rammed full of people and and not the happiest or friendliest bunch on cue to help.Definitely worth a visit, but much like anywhere else when it comes to food retail and farmshop, so maybe don’t be prepared to have your socks blown off.

This little gem is a place that you must visit. We live locally and have shopped at The Larder, Burwash Manor since the turn of the year (2017). The shop sells everything the average household needs and the food produce is the very best I have ever had. Food is so much more enjoyable from The Larder and it's great to know that the food produce is sourced locally. The staff are excellent and efficient. Free tasters are regularly on display for cheeses, cakes and deli.Furthermore, the butchers who source locally farmed livestock, have on sale the very finest meat I have ever had. I'm a man who loves meat and I have thoroughly enjoyed every purchase from Leech & Sons at The Larder, Burwash Manor.Everything I eat nowadays just seems so much better and more exciting. So glad we gave this place a try.J & K
