Cranks and Planks

My wife and I hired 2 full suspension, E-mountain bikes last weekend from Cranks & Planks run by Julie and Charlie. Julie (who we discovered is also the mechanic) was really helpful during the booking process and getting the sizing of the bikes right. The bikes themselves were incredible (my first time on an E-mountain bike although I do a lot of road riding) and came with a Garmin sat nav that took us on the most perfect 50k route, taking in the stunning surrounding areas (remote forests, rolling hills and pretty villages). We hardly saw a soul for about 4 hours. Bliss. Julie had pre-programmed a half-way stop at the Pembroke Arms where we shared a dee-lish pizza and chicken pie before heading back. We had a brilliant time. If you are remotely outdoorsy I would highly recommend using Crank & Planks. Great product & service.

My bike’s front brakes weren’t retracting properly and my brother and I were desperate to have them fixed as we were on a 3 day cycling holiday. We found Cranks and Planks via Google and that saved our holiday! The brakes were replaced at a very reasonable cost, they had a spare set, and half an hour later we were on our way. My girlfriend and I rented x2 E-Bikes from Cranks & Planks for 2 days this bank holiday weekend just gone.Excellent service from start to finish - very responsive communication, high quality bikes, reasonable prices, GPS navigation device with great pre-plotting routes.We had a great time biking through a mixture of off-road and on-road sections throughout the Wiltshire countryside with some lovely scenery.Owners Julie and Charlie were very friendly and helpful. They even gave us a lift back to our accommodation on our final day.Would recommend!

Julie and Charlie are just absolute legends, I was back in the area staying with my girlfriend and got a puncture almost straight away. Took it to cranks and planks and they were simply amazing, not only did they fix my tyre but found a couple more bits and sorted them straight out.Decided to then book it in for a full service and the bike feels like new, they’ve done such an incredible job! I would trust them with to do amazing work with anything mechanical!They also rent eBikes as well, which is fantastic. Will definitely be giving them a try next time.In summary, a great small business run by incredibly kind, humble people, couldn’t recommend them higher!!

Superb friendly service, Julie could not have been more helpful as we first investigated and then purchased the Boost e bike conversion which Julie fitted. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely return for bike servicing when necessary.

We hired 6 eMTBs from Cranks & Planks and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The bikes are great and made for an excellent day out. Cranks and Planks have done an amazing job on two of our mountain bikes overhauling and fixing an older Cannondale and dealing with all the upgrades necessary to go tubeless on a Specialized. Everything was completed perfectly and with great, speedy service. Highly recommended!!
