I have had both online & face to face lessons with ColourWheel East Cheshire, and I’ve really enjoyed both formats. Lesley organises everything perfectly - all materials are provided along with weekly fact sheets and videos of the lessons. The teaching is great and the lessons are suitable for anyone from beginner to those looking to build on existing talents. All the students are friendly and supportive of each other, giving the classes a relaxed and friendly feel.

Loving my Tuesday mornings at Marthall rediscovering my creative side. Extremely welcoming and well organised with everything needed provided( Lesley), and superb instruction from Dave with lots of help and encouragement, and humour! Have already learnt huge amounts using a variety of media. Relaxed sessions, lots of laughs and met some lovely people too. Definitely signing up for term 2!

I joined the East Cheshire Colourwheel online classes during lockdown and have now done 11 seasons. I have thoroughly enjoyed the sessions which are two and a half hours in the evenings. The moderated classes are taught by an expert art teacher who guides you through the process providing valuable feedback. Each week we would cover a different medium or technique including graphite, charcoal, chalk pastel, oil pastel, water colour, acrylic, portrait, wildlife, landscape and others. A lot of work goes into the preparation of these classes, and this is certainly one of the reasons why they work so well. It is a nice community spirit too, despite being online and we are encouraged to comment on each other’s work. If you are thinking of joining an art class, I would definitely recommend Colourwheel.In the attached sample, each picture was produced during the lesson.

I joined East Cheshire ColourWheel during lockdown and have continued online classes ever since. It is a lovely, encouraging and calm community, taught by an expert artist and run very efficiently. We use different mediums from graphite to gouache and are taken through processes step by step. There are printouts of the images and instructions, and recordings are available if you miss a class or would like to try it again. There is no obligation to share your work but I love to see what everyone has achieved at the end of each class as it’s inspirational.

I have been doing ColourWheel online classes for over a year now having not done any art since my school days, many years ago.Lesley coordinates the classes perfectly, providing art materials if required, and Fionnuala is an excellent teacher always providing positive feedback and encouragement.Online classes work really well and a recording is available afterwards if you need more time or have missed the live class.I am very pleased with the art I have produced and would thoroughly recommend the classes to anyone thinking of enrolling.

I am really enjoying my time at Colour Wheel Marthall.Our Teacher Dave & Organiser Lesley are brilliant at motivating the class with all mediums in art work.We work in a very friendly & sociable environment & I look forward to MY time on a Tuesday morning.

Hi I am just writing to let people know how fantastic colour wheel is. The workshop classes are totally exciting and professionally run I love every minute. It’s a great way to mentally escape as you become so enthralled with each weekly challenge a wonderful way to unwind! Highly recommended!
