The Grapes Beefeater
I had the ribs and chicken dish, it was edible but I cannot say I was impressed. The chicken was tasteless, corn was not fresh and chips felt like they were heated.

Compliments to the chef! These people care about their customers! By far, the most exquisite meal I have ever, I mean ever!! Tasted! The chef is named Lewis, he has an exceptional talent in the food industry and should be cooking in a 5 star restaurant! He even served me and my friend personally! What. A. Bloke!

Tried again last week, still dated and dirty. Decided not to eat in there. Such a shame remember the good days of the Beefeater. Must have been a long time ago.Stayed last night at Premier Inn next door and decided to go to the Beefeater for dinner. BIG MISTAKE. The restaurant is tired and dated and in desperate need of a refurb. Got a wobbly table which is always a good start! Started with the breadcrumb coated mushrooms (soaked in oil). They were disgusting. Then went for the full mixed grill at £21. Was told just before it was brought out that there were no lamb chops so instead they had replaced with more breaded mushrooms. I explained I could not eat any more of them so they then brought me a large button mushroom (to replace lamb chops). The garnish was dry and looked horrible (see pics). The steak was chewy. The other meat was cold and the chips were either mushy or rock hard. I spoke to the manager who was great and did not charge me (I only ate a small amount and that was because I was so bloody hungry). Cant fault the staff friendly and professional. By the look of things long gone are the days when you would go to the Beefeater as a real treat. My advice is your better of going to McDonalds opposite.

Food and customer service was excellent. Jade, Alan and Mags were warm and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant for food and a warm atmosphere. It was value for money..

The ladies at The Grapes were lovely and very hospitable. Good food. I had beer breaded fish and chips, and the ribs and salmon (slightly dry) went down a treat. Good place to relax and chill!

The service was great from the time we entered too the time we left. Mags,Alan, and Jade were very friendly and welcoming. The food was really nice except the half chicken could have had a little bit more colour.We will return..

Had three great waitress’ last night. They was polite, friendly and had a good sense of humour. Very patient with very rude customers who just like their own voices. I would recommend to come and eat or drink here anytime of the week
