Beautiful place to walk with lots of dufferent paths going here and there. You can stick to the tarmac path or head througb the forests..

It's a majestic place right on the doorstep for a lot of people, great for paddle boarding or taking a kayak. It's calm and picturesque.

We were in the area of the new footbridge and lock gates which are under construction. It's starting to look good and will very much enhance the regeneration of the area and public access. But still a great place for a relaxing walk or exercise.

Lagan Tow Path
Busy with walkers & cyclists most days, early morning is the best time for peace & quiet on the towpath.

Beautiful area for walks and to enjoy nature, birdsong, river wild life, all kinds of flora and fauna. Just wish more people would respect this little paradise, not leave litter , destroy benches. It's a shared space for all. No charge in but needs to be protected and looked after.

Beautiful scenery, and peaceful pace to walk/run/bike. Very helpful way connect the city with the Crowne Plaza Hotel, while getting to enjoy some nature.

We got our fish and chips at stranmillis took the car with honda motoring to past cutters wharf and relaxed eating a fantastic cod and chip combo with drink of Pepsi cola.Lots of dog walkers, cyclists and electrically enhanced bicycles (I don't mean the head and tail lights,it was daylight),walkers for libation and meals in Cutters Wharf. All on a glorious South Belfast summers evening on the banks of the Lagan.

Lagan Tow Path
The Lagan Path renewed in 2021 and they did a great job by connecting the Stranmillis area with the other side of the city from behind. It is also a beautiful area for walks and to enjoy nature, birdsong, different kind of plants and river wild life. Just wish more people would respect this little paradise, not leave litter , destroy benches. It's a shared space for all. No charge in but needs to be protected and looked after.Note : The Lagan Towpath takes the walker along the river and canal system through a variety of wetland, riverside meadows and mixed woodland from Belfast to Lisburn.
