We ordered big papas! The portions were generous, enough for 2 people and everything was served piping hot. Expect to wait longer if visiting on weekends . I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a delicious meal.

Hands down best fish and chips in Blackpool! Fish is so fresh and the batter is to die for! Portions are huge, believe it or not this was the medium fish. They do a large and a ‘papa size’ one too.Calamari is beautiful, and is thick slices rather than the usual rings.Yes it is a bit more pricey than other fish and chip shop (£11.99 for medium fish and chips) but you can get it to take away for around the same price of other takeaway fish shops.

A very busy establishment with excellent food and service to match.Stuart the General manager was extremely welcoming as was his team were excellent as well. A prime example of attitude reflects leadership. Also Stuart let us know about alternative options.The portion size is phenomenal and the food tastes great. I got the chip shop platter.Highly recommend.

Filthy floor, slow service, gluten free chips inedible, waited 45 mins for 1/5 meals (everyone else had finished and we chased it multiple times) then the fish wasn’t cooked properly. The only reason it wasn’t 1* is due to the person who refunded the inedible dishes and dealt with it swiftly, unlike the rest of the service

I was here for dinner with my family on our holiday, we had an amazing experience. The food was spectacular and the atmosphere was great and the staff were fantastic cheery and served with a smile. The only thing wrong was they ran out of tartar sauce 5 star

You get shown to your table then have to order the food at a central bar yourself. There was one guy, taking orders and pouring drinks, took me about 25 minutes to order.The only cutlery that's was available looked used , had to ask for some clean .The food arrived about 15 minutes after the order and it was really nice, medium haddock was ampleOverall it was a nice meal but the ordering process was poor on the day , it didn't even appear that busy, there were many spare tables.

I can easily see why this place won BBC'S Britain's Best Fish and Chips.Tried this place for my last birthday weekend treat as we'd heard good reviews about it.It definitely lives up to the hype. Staff were friendly and helpful nothing was too much.We tried some of the festive sides I had the breaded brie and the other half tried the battered brussel sprouts.Both came on a bed of scraps not had them in years I loved the breaded brie it was nice and crispy on the outside and lovely and melty on the inside. Wasn't sure on the battered Brussels but the other half loved them.He also tried the calamari which he said was perfect I'm not a fan so didn't try it. He knows a good calamari when he sees one though from his chefing years.Mains I had the half chicken with chips and salad. Not sure how they did it but the chicken was perfect crispy skin and moist chicken not an easy combo when it's deep fried but the did it.Other half had scampi with chips and salad I had a bite the scampi was lovely one of the nicest I've had out in a while.Portions were massive and the salad was a vibrant mix of peppers, tomato, onion, egg and cucumberFantastic food lovely staff value for money will definitely be back

Absolutely outstanding evening spent at papa’s. Visiting Blackpool for the weekend. Ate in many establishments but this one by far exceeded all expectations. The food was of high quality and portion size was spot on. The welcome and service we received was brilliant. Our waiter was a lad called Harley he is the reason- along side the quality of the food- we would return here time and time again. Brilliant energy, enthusiasm and attentiveness.5 star.

⭐️BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN BLACKPOOL!⭐️I visited here before and the food was unreal but the service was very poor. The new general manager was out of this world, he went above a beyond and you can definitely see a change for the better. The food was amazing and the service 5 star, cant really ask for much better.
