Aspire Lounge, Birmingham Airport
Rude staff, 2 curry dishes on offer that is all (weren’t told this before hand and none of my family eat it) warm beer, broken drink dispensary with only pepsi in a bottle (warm) as a substitute, I am diabetic and specifically wanted something sugar free but was told that’s all we have in a rude manner, my partner asked a guy for bread as the basket was empty, he replied will be around 2-3 minutes, my partner approached him 17 minutes later to ask again and his response was “we are very busy you need to have patience, we are all rushing about and understaffed. If you are not happy leave the lounge” however this was just the start of the nightmare. I went to the bar and asked for a bottle of beer and 2 brandy’s for my mother and father in law respectively and a vodka cans red bull. The beer was out of a crate under the counter, no brandy whatsoever and no red bull in the lounge, this is when I thought enough is enough and questioned an employee regarding all these queries (same as above) he told me stop moaning and they have ran out of stock due to high demand but this was in a very aggressive manor.Bare in mind I booked this lounge 9 months prior for 5 of us, we were situated on 3 tables of 2 scattered around the room, so I actually had to sit by myself. I can honestly say I would never return to this lounge in a lifetime have made sure my family and friends won’t. We stayin in the lounge for 30 minutes (including a lot of waiting in the queues) I am so disappointed with this lounge but I suppose I should of read the reviews before booking they say it all! £163 may aswell been thrown away, as I actually ended up spending £130 after leaving there for drinks and food (5 of us £26 each) so it cost £293 in the airport when I would of spent £130 not booking this lounge, it was actually a surprise for my partner and it couldn’t of backfired more.

Easy checking by polite reception staff ( need to show boarding pass and booking bar codes). Quiet busy as arrived close to lunch time but shown to a clean table. Drink service available from the bar tho only 1 person working hard to keep a queue short and quick. Food self service so no portion control if your a big eater. Did have to ask several times for cutlery on food too be replenished. All in all more relaxing than the terminal. Have used before and would use again as better than No1 lounge.

Honestly was worried that it had gone downhill since covid with all the snotty reviews but I just think some people can't be pleased. Arrived at 5:45am. Full cooked breakfast, every cereal with fruit, pastries etc. Juice, pancake maker, loads of different teas, professional coffee maker, every possible alcoholic drink. Everything was delicious. Service was amazing, lovely smiles and couldn't do enough for you. A* service, highly recommend.

This Aspire lounge sets the example of how good should be served. The food seems to be made with good care and is very tasty, I really enjoyed eating here! There where only few other visitors (not too busy on a Tuesday noon) and was surprised with the high amount of reserved seats, that didn't got taken during my 2+ hour stay. It's got a nice view and you can see the airplane and runways. It's not top of the bill but it's pretty good and I loved staying there! I wish the Amsterdam Aspire lounge would come over to visualize how good looks like :-)

Small business lounge , comfortable seating. There are no toilets in this business lounge so you have to go outside and find one around the main waiting area.

We've just been on our honeymoon and, finding that we couldn't even sit together on the flight due to some checkin issue, we treated ourselves to the Aspire lounge. I have to say that Marie on the reception desk really went out of her way to make us feel special and it really eased our disappointment. She was so kind, thoughtful and very attentive. Thank you Marie ❤

Very limited choice of food, however the bar is ok and a nice quiet place to hide from the madding crowd. Good but not great.

The management is a joke and should truly find something else better to do with their lives. They're a disgrace the way they treat people. The staff such as Mo and Shaheed as an example should be sacked their behaviour is disgusting they act like petulant children who try to control everybody and verbally abuse people.I found mould on the food and they basically still continued serving it from the same packaging.Brilliant place right?I'm going to environmental health and will proceed to contact management above.Good Job Aspire!Btw to customers wanting to go. AVOID. Go to No1.

Absolutely the worst lounge we have ever visited!Took a seat on a double sofa to find no electric points were working so we moved onto another table further down.Out of nowhere a short angry man, apparently called Tim ( and apparently the Manager - although we found he upgraded himself as he's actually a team leader) stormed over to tell us we could not sit there. We advised we moved off 2 sofas due to no working electric to charge our phones. He was having non of it and was plain right rude.Apparently we had sat at a reserved family Tablefor 5 (no smaller than the one we'd moved from)'Tim's' attitude was absolutely disgusting. He slammed a reserved sign down 20 mins AFTER we’d sat down!He refused to give me his name ( his colleagues did and refused to tell me who the manager was (his colleagues did as he already pretended it was him ) and when I went to the desk to question his attitude he picked up the phone and said he was calling security to have me removed!!I must admit the other staff were pleasant - but Swissport / Aspire, if you are reading this then'Tim' is really not a good advert for your lounge, your brand or your businessDisappointed that KLM use this lounge for must admit the other staff were pleasant - but Swissport / Aspire, if you are reading this thenTim' is really not a good advert for your lounge
