The Ivy Lounge
We were passing by, looking for a supper and popped in for some dim sum. Very tasty and excellent service! I'll definitely be back.Only downside is that the menu has no ingredients so it's not ideal if someone has dietary requirements.

None of the dim sums can be considered as good. The shrimp dumbling is worse than the frozen ones I could get from Costco. Waste of time and money. To summarise in 2 Chinese words ：巴撚

New Chinese restaurant in China quarter. Clean, yummy food, good service. Grand opening 15%off discount. No service charge. Highly recommended. If we choose, Siu mai and XO sauce Luó bái gāo are the worst ones.

I was here a couple of weeks ago. It was a warm Sunday afternoon. I visited this relatively new restaurant in the Chinese Quarter. The place was busy and very warm. The ventilation was not very good even though there were multiple fans on at the restaurant but it was not cutting the heat. I came for food and was hoping not to be disappointed. I ordered the usual suspects in the dim sum range and seafood on a bed of crispy noodles. Service was pretty slow. It took a while for our food to arrive.I was met with disappointed with my meal. The noodle dish was a little on the bland side. The Dim Sum were equally bland. I looked at my kids and noticing how they were eating out of hunger rather than pleasure it was evident they didn't like it either. I am in no hurry to return to this place, but if I do I hope there is a great improvement to what was presented to me on this visit

Was very hungry and so family and I stumbled into the ivy lounge to eat. We ordered the soy sauce chicken, roast pork, rice, beef cheung fun, blood tofu, tofu skin roll and a claypot. We came in for dinner service and there was barely anyone there. Once we sat down and ordered more people came in. We waited for 30 mins and nothing was given to us... It got worse as the people who came in later got their food in like around 15 mins after ordering. 45 mins go past and we still haven't got a single dish so we asked the waiter. The waiter just said it will come out asap but after more waiting we had nothing on the table but tea. We just sat there starving and watching all the tables around us finish their food and leave. After about an hour we finally got some of our food but some dishes were missing. We had to keep pushing the waiter for our food especially the claypot and it eventually didn't even come. We felt quite disappointed and we decided to leave as we had to go home. We asked for the bill and told the waiter to cancel the claypot. We ended up getting a discount for the poor service and feeling hungry and frustrated.

Attracted by the 15% grand opening discount (cash only) we decided to try Ivy Lounge, the food quality is good, great variety (had HK dim sum seldom seen in UK e.g Abalone Siu Mai). The chow mein and Ho fun plates are on the small side but are tasty. With the discount, prices are reasonable (no service charge), wait to see what they will be after post offer.

Had a wonderful evening at the Ivy Lounge.We arrived early just before the rush.The food was delicious and good portion.Paul was great and really looked after us. Really friendly and made us welcomed as though we were regulars.The place looked clean and bright and the toilets were nice and clean.Definitely recommend this place and 100% will be coming back.

The Ivy Lounge
Stopped here for a dim sum lunch. Food was nice, although a bit pricey. Atmosphere and service quite typical, good but nothing special. A solid 4 stars and I would recommend but don't expect it to be much different from the other places in Chinatown. Hopefully the quality will endure.
