Ordered frozen periwinkle online and I received rotten, decayed, foul-smelling periwinkle which I couldn’t use for my soup dish. Goat meat was not fresh. I wish I could give zero stars. Will never buy from this shop/business again.

Amazing experience just as always, customer service person I spoke to was very helpful as well, just got my order now. Thank you Samis for delivering right on time.

SECURITY IS RUDE customer service is bad how can the security say my bag is too big for me to leave it at the door so you’re calling me a theif. Why would I steal food I have at home and for me to leave my bag at the door do I know you I suggest if you want customers to come back change your ways also I have viewed your response to other customers if you are so fearful of shop lifting tag your items install a magnetic scanner that beeps for unsold items, the thing you are doing is wrong and archaic, it’s an old way of life and it makes people very uncomfortable not everybody can read the sign about bags

The customer service was really bad, the staffs were so rude and they made it seem as if we were begging them to sell to us. The security man wasn’t friendly and made us feel like we’re bad people.Having travelled from Cottesmore to this place(71miles), I must say I’ve never been to an Afroshop or any other shop in the uk and been asked to put my bag somewhere before I’m allowed to buy anything, except this shop. Staffs were not smiling and not even welcoming customers… I greeted one n all he/she could do was to nod his or her head without smiling back. Worst experience ever! This was our first time, and we must say we’re NOT impressed at all. One staff kept singing and roaming around the shop as if she’s in her house…. Not serious about their customer care service. They kept talking n making noise at the back of the shop, and it was very unprofessional!! Management should train their staffs on how to be friendly to customers and also have CCTV Cameras installed, rather than instructing customers to submit their baggages before they’re allowed to shop. This is the 21st Century!!! We felt so humiliated and bad. Looking as if we were begging them to sell to us. We could have gone somewhere else but decided to give you guys a try, but rather unfortunate that we r very disappointed with how you guys treat your customers, both old and new. We bought groceries worth £145 plus.

Good experience, I no longer live in Birmingham, but I like to stock up whenever I come to visit. I don't use big bags so I didn't have any issues there. I always find what I need and for a reasonable price, staff are helpful and answer any questions you may have.I also like the restaurant, I have been eating there for a few years and I'm always happy with the food and service. I notice they have an outdoor food stand, which seems pretty popular, so I will give that a try when I visit Birmingham next week.

0 stars if possible. A very unserious business that started off well but as with people who don't understand customer service have failed woefully. I placed an order, they charged me full price, did not deliver two of the items and proceeded to burden me with 3 massive bags of frozen food I did not order which I then had to store. Some poor person somewhere is probably looking for that order now. What was their response? A dismissive 'your issue will be dealt with on Monday' and 'you can dispose of the unwanted items'. Not even an apology for the mistake (which was not the first time). Incompetence topped with hubris.

Very terrible service I must say and absolutely not worth the headache.I placed an order on your website, made payment, chose a delivery date. Received no confirmation of my order whatsoever. Had to send EMAILS to be sure my order was received and confirmed. Fast forward to delivery day and I got an email from delivery company asking me to come pick up my order from their office on a later date! I called customer rep to complain about the situation and she just sounded so flat saying “sorry” and that customers have been complaining about the same delivery company despite telling her I was a first time customer.She proffered no solution, just a bunch of flat sorrys and basically went quiet till I ended the call.Trash service, terrible customer service.Place your order at your own risk and discretion.
