Wardhaugh Property

I'm an ex tenant of wardhaugh. I lived in forfar for a year very good tenant no pets don't smoke. wardhaugh received my housing benefit directly from DWP on time throughout the year. Only reason I moved back to Dundee I suddenly lost my mother. I recently noticed one of their properties advertising a one bed flat in loons road dundee. i contacted they only to be told you need to be working full-time for the property.i don't no why I can be a tenant on housing benefit in forfar and not in dundee.i thought discrimination was a thing of the past very sad.

No communication, will mess you aboutWe drove 10 hours for a viewing, after the viewing we asked for an application form to be told they need to ask the landlord if we can have one(they knew how long our journey was going to be, and THEY contacted us to offer the viewing)We haven't heard from them since so I doubt they even contacted the landlord.

Do not waste your time. After sending numerous emails, and getting absolutely 0 response. we decided to actually go into the building to see if we could elicit some kind of human interaction. This was a grotesque waste of my time. The woman on the front desk was condescending and rude and just told us that all the properties were probably gone.. not that I told her which one we were interested in. After finding out that it was in fact available, the person dealing with it wasn't in. She also made a random statement about properties not taking pets (which we didn't say we had) I was also promised a phone call the next day.. and yes you guessed it, that did not happen either.We are two professionals with full time jobs who were excited to move to the area and wanted this part of choosing a house to be fun. This company are outrageously unprofessional, rude and uninterested in doing any actual work. We couldn't be any closer to the perfect tenants, good jobs, a high budget and fantastic references but if we aren't being given the time of day then i'm not sure theres any hope. Needless to say we are using a different letting agent and I recommend you do too. Any landlord reading this thinking about using this company, I highly recommend you don't. Disgraceful.

They certainly make you jump through hoops to rent through them.Shame that neither they nor the renters (South Esk Estates) failed to mention the property had been previously completely flooded and then not dried out properly.(This failure to disclose flooding also unknowingly invalidated our home contents insurance).Due to this poor remedial work the cottage was damp from the get go and by the time we moved out, a lot of our belongings were just fit for the skip.Beware of renting either of the properties at Haughs of Kinnaird.

I have sent numerous enquiries to the agent and was not contacted once to view any of the properties, even to be told the property is no longer vacant but when my sister in law enquire they sent her all the forms never mentioned anything about the property being taken. You don’t hear from them.I have not had good service from them at all.

I've dealt with many letting agencies and wardhaugh is by far the most welcoming, and the most helpful. Not only did Kirsty help me get into my flat rapidly when I had been looking for a rental for a long time, both Kirsty and Fiona have been utterly wonderful with any queiries or minor issues that have naturally arisen when moving into a property. I had a small issue with wiring and the boiler and Fiona was right on that. She also kept in touch directly to let me know when the electrician and plumber would arrive. I cannot rate wardhaugh enough. Thank you so much for helping me move in so smoothly. I appreciate the hard work immensely.Many Thanks,Katt

Kind of a difficult one to rate. They post properties for rent yet my partner has phoned, left voice notes and emailed them to enquire about some of them and has received no replies from anyone yet in over a month however some of the properties are still Available". I wonder if they get paid to advertise properties or bill landlords weekly until they decide to start replying to people..."

On Thursday we met with Amanda to discuss purchasing properties to rent and to discuss having Wardhaughs manange the day to day running of them. We are so glad we did! Amanda was helpful and very knowledgeable. She gave us options we had not even thought of and clarified things we were not clear about.
