The best watering hole in the area. Very good beer brewed on the premisis, and the cheapest in Derby. Charming staff and clientele. Definitely to be recommended.

Didn't have food so 3 for that, but as a pub and a place to have afew beers with a mate it was top notch. The staff and locals were really friendly, prices were superb and the beer was well brewed and well kept. This is a place well worth seeking out if in Derby and a fan of quality real ale.

A quiet locals pub, hidden away on a housing estate, which is worth seeking out.Great selection of Falstaff beers, plus guest ales on offer, in a very friendly and welcoming, but cash only, local.A real community pub with plenty of history and character.The ladies loo's (as my wife can testify) are award winning, and a pleasure to visit.The gents were clean and pleasant.There are many points of interest around the pub, from Mahogany fire places and carvings, to old pictures and posters, not to mention the historical memorabilia from the local area.Not forgetting the legendary ghost that supposedly haunts this fantastic pub.If you've never visited previously, give it a tryIf you've been here before, be sure to return,And if you're a regular, you need no encouragement.

Can’t comment really as we turned up Thursday just after 12.00 midday (as Google said it was open) only to find daily opening time was 2.00pm. ☹️

A traditional spit and sawdust local that brews it's own beer. An absolute gem, the landlord is pleasure to talk with, places like this are getting harder to find if we want our pubs to survive we need to buy less alcohol in the supermarket and spend time with our friends in places like this otherwise we lose them forever.

Really fantastic old school pub full of memorabilia.. cheap pint from the excellent onsite brewery.Really worth the walk from derby city center!

A fantastic, traditional real ale pub, with great atmosphere & filled with memorabilia and curios.Excellent beer, brewed on the premises...plenty of choice. Well stocked with spirits etc too.Sits in a residential area & not easy to find, but well worth it when you do.Great service, plenty of space.Highly recommended.
