I cannot say enough good things about this business! I was searching for a particular item that I wanted to purchase and have engraved to give as a gift. I found the item at Harrison & Simmonds, but was a little hesitant about making the purchase since I live in the States and couldn't talk in person with them or see the item. However, after emailing and speaking with them, I felt comfortable enough to make the purchase. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful - their customer service, the quality of their products, the price, and the superb job they did with engraving the piece exactly as I wanted it. They processed my order and shipped it out 2 days after I ordered it, and I received it 4 days later!! Very, very happy, and would highly recommend them!

Not only was the free shipping exquisitly fast, but there hand written little note on the reciept of my order. This business clearly cares about their customers. I am so glad I made a order at Harrison and Simmonds.

Rarely these days, do you receive such excellent service as I did this week from James, Dominic and the family. I wanted to purchase a pipe as a gift and upon request, even with the understanding I would be purchasing a relatively low value pipe, they photographed, in detail, all three variations of my chosen model. I was then able to personally select prior to ordering. I ended up ordering two out of the three and they were delivered by tracked postage.Communication on the telephone and email was a pleasure. Polite, informative and helpful. They were having some issues with the new digital BT telephones which we are all now being forced to adopt. I got cut off a couple of times, but they called back very promptly. I'm not going to fault a firm over British Telecom's numerous problems.All in all, I can wholeheartedly recommend these gents. They understand the dying art of customer service.

I love my knick knacks and little curiosos. This store sells a wide range of cigars, but the chess sets had me at go. The sets are old but well crafted and would be perfect for that corner table. You really just need to make a visit. H&S also has pipes and anything a cigar/tobacco aficionado needs. They carry a limited supply of flavoured cigars for those who need that little extra. The prices are comparable aka cigar smoking is an expensive hobby (which can kill you/is not good for your health: DISCLAIMER). But it is what it is, and I appreciate it!

They lost part of my Gold Dunhill lighter, then requested photographs of the same lighter to prove it had a hallmark. Original part gone but H & S are 'sure broken part is still in workshop' Expensive mistake to trust their services. No record of lighters sent to them for repair. Do not risk anything cherished or valuable.

What a find, I had three hours to kill in Bedford town centre one extremely rainy Friday. As I finish a coffee at Crema I donned my waterproof cagoule and headed out to explore. Standing outside the store I felt transported to another time. It felt Victorian in its layout, very nostalgic and inside was a huge array of gifts, model cars, smoking paraphernalia etc, I purchased a Lamy fountain pen and a small Swiss Army knife. Fabulous store.

Just wanted to say fantastic service from this business. Ordered a pocket watch as a gift which I had requested to be engraved.Spoke to the shop to clarify the engraving, could not have been more friendly & helpful, item arrived the following day!The watch exactly as described & what I had wanted. Brilliant!!
