It was shut when I got there @ 12.30pm even though the chalk board at the front of the pub indicated that it opened at 12pm. Even so, I visited a couple of years ago and it was fine then. Good beer and a good menu.

Lovely welcome great choice of beers and spirits. Lovely ham salad cobs really did hit the spot. Would certainly recommend to drop on if your passing, also regular live entertainment

Absolutely brilliant place. We have always been welcomed on our trips to Ashbourne. It came as a shock when we heard Andrew and his wife were leaving. Very very sad. You can never replace Class

Had a meal here, pub owner was very rude, and made us feel awkard as pub is dog friendly so our friends bought theres along. There was someone else in there with a dog, and she left her table to bring dog over to ours and the two dogs then started to growl at each other to which pub owner was angry and said he didnt want dogs falling out in his pub. It was not our fault and during these covid social distancing times the woman and her dog should not come over to our table. The pub owner never even appologised to us and we wanted to leave but had already ordered food. Very dissapointed and food was more like cafe food. The only good thing was the young girl who waited on our table, she was lovely and very attentive.

Food was not good, portion sizes were not generous, small carafe of mixed vegetable between 3 people.Desert had soggy pastry and I suspect was frozen and poorly defrosted.Very disappointed as I had been told the food here was excellent, clearly not this day, as everything seemed pre-bought, not freshly prepared.
