My elderly mother called the surgery today to book an appointment as she was feeling very unwell.She was told she needed to go online and book. When she said she had no Internet access, she was told to come to the surgery, and she could request an appointment online there.So my elderly unwell mother had to drive to the GP surgery, to fill out an online form to request an appointment, and then had to drive home and wait for someone to call and offer her an appointment.You honestly couldn't make it up, what an absolute farce. When my mother said to the receptionist (who had to spend time helping her complete the online form when she got to the surgery) that this new system of booking is not good for elderly people, she was told that 'this is the way forward'.I work in a GP surgery, and I am well aware of the challenges staff face on a daily basis, but my expectation in this situation would be that the receptionist would take the details over the phone and complete the form. It would have taken no longer than helping my mother complete it at the surgery.Discriminating against elderly and vulnerable patients, by making them jump through hoops to get a GP appointment, is not an appropriate way forward for a healthcare provider. You have duty of care towards all of your patients, not just the ones with Internet access.

The receptionist does not care, these are her words. Have mobility issues and want me to go to the surgery to request a prescription when I've always done this over the phone but it's ok because the receptionist doesn't care. Her exact words. Needs sacking, the whole point of a surgery is care but miss I'm a receptionist and I'm like to get above my station does not care. If you don't care just close the surgery and stop taking money from the government

Reception staff booked my appointment in a different surgery? I’ve been coming to talbot medical centre since birth over 30 years. 3 weeks wait to get an appointment (if even at the correct place)

I’ve had anxiety since I was a child and my diagnosis was probably the worst thing that’s ever happened for my health. Every. Single. Appointment. Is somehow related to my anxiety. It’s so disheartening, to the point that I have to exclusively write “nothing to do with my anxiety” on online referrals. I think staff forget you can view your own medical records. Ongoing breathing issues, records state “told to drink more water” - even stranger, I wasn’t given this advice. Heart rate recorded as much lower than it was (raised in the first place because I was furious, not anxious!) and small details fabricated to make my complaint sound trivial. How humiliating.

I have always had a great experience with this surgery. Receptionists, Nurses and GPs are all lovely. I honestly do not know why there are negative reviews for this surgery. They deal with the appointments they have as well as can be. After all it’s the NHS that provides the budgets for each surgery so no individual surgery can be blamed for limited availabke appointments. Staff need time off and need to spend time with their families too. They can’t be expected to work into the night to clear up a backlog of appointments either. They’re doing the best they can.And I cannot fault this surgery.

I brought my autistic non verbal child into the practice today with a planned appointment and had to wait well over an hour to be seen by the doctor , my child was left totally distraught and she couldnt process why she had to wait for so long , provisions should have been put in place for special needs children , as it is noted on her records all of her difficulties and had expressed this on many occasions

Always seen promptly, they have been outstanding , no fuss, kind clinicians and lovely receptionists. Even helped me when I was running late for an appointment, it is very much appreciated

Receptionists have always been helpful, I don't have any issues with getting appointments when it's needed on occasions I haven't been able to get same day but I was late phoning in, best to phone at 8am to get a same day appointment, the doctor's have all been great & listen to you that I have seen, as I have numerous health things going on I sometimes need to see them frequently. All in all its a great surgery with great doctors.

Had the best experience possible at the Talbot medical centre today. Both receptionists were lovely from the minute I walked in, and the Doctor who saw me was absolutely brilliant! He listened to all my concerns with my health and took the time to listen and reassure me, truly amazing doctor!

Excellent service from the prescription team. I had forgotten to order my medication entirely my mistake. I requested my medication on Sunday 17th September it was processed and ready for collection at my pharmacy on Monday 18th September in the afternoon!! Thank you so much, truly exceptional service.
