We recently renovated an older property and wanted to restore the gold leaf detail that was originally in place on the glass above the front door. Gordon has skills and talent rarely found now days and was able to bring the glass back to its former glory. We are absolutely delighted with the end result.

I have attended one of Gordon’s workshops and purchased glass from him. I highly recommend the workshops, if you would like to make your own piece. Gordon is extremely patient and knowledgeable. I also have no hesitation in recommending him for making or restoring lead glass windows.

We had substantial damages to a large and complex stained glass window in a rural parish church in Aberdeenshire. Gordon Watt was extremely helpful in advising how best to complete the repairs, which were then executed beautifully and at less cost than originally quoted. It is a rarity to find a tradesperson who is skilled at what they do, delivers what was agreed, doesn't run over budget (in fact came under budget) , keeps you informed about what is happening, tidies up after them, is so easy to work with and a pleasure to have about your home working away. I love my new windows, apart from keeping the rain out, they are a thing of beauty and many people have admired them. Personally I'd save yourself time looking about for better because in my opinion Gordon is the best at what he does.

We approached Morning Glass in the hope they would be willing to do a small commission for us. We wanted a fanlight put into the front door of our son's house as a house-warming gift. Gordon, the owner, was amazing from start to finish. He went himself to check the house out and when we gave him an idea of what we were looking for, (bearing in mind we had no experience of what might be possible), he completely blew us away. He even incorporated a nod to a small rainbow as we said we'd love that. All of the work, including the installation, was done efficiently with no mess and our son and his husband loved it. We all did. Extra bonus was he managed to get it done just in time for Christmas! We would highly recommend Morning Glass Designs.

We wanted to combine something Scottish and something Australian (where we come from). Gordon Watt came up with this wonderful design which combines the Aboriginal idea of the Rainbow Serpent as the primordial creative force and made it into the shape of the nearby River Don which flows by Old Aberdeen. Gordon is amazingly creative and skilled in what he does. This has become something of a showpiece when people (used to) visit. He was able to add his creative touch to everything he touched.
