Great little dog friendly pub, eat all you can carvery was lovely, they also do take away. Staff very friendly, definitely going back soon.

Went there for a carvery as was recommended by parents. Was not disappointed. Food was excellent and the staff were super helpful and friendly. Excellent value for money too

This is based on the terrible carvery, not the lovely staff.Such a shame to say I will not be going back for the carvery.I attended here on Friday the 16th June.I was looking forward to the carvery as reviews read well.Sorry to say, this had to be the worst carvery I have ever had.I chose beef, it was pulled from under the counter (which I am assuming is a hot plate) on a plate covered with foil, which held the beef, pork, pork cracking and some other meat on the one plate. It was dry and chewy, not one bit of pink to be seen. The potatoes & gravy were ok, but the tinned tiny baby carrots and corn were so soft didn’t even need to chew.No cauliflower cheese unless you wanted to pay an extra £2.99. I’ll stick to Toby carvery.Such a shame, as your staff members were so lovely, and you could really take advantage of this with the location and the garden etc.

It’s an old fashion village pub, which is a little dated and a bit rough around the edges but that adds to the character. Was nice to go to for an afternoon drink and had seating outside in the beer garden.

The food being served in a makeshift tent meant that the food went cold quick. Need 2 staffAlso ro aerve. Meat was tender.

Roast House Carvery
This is now called the Roast House Carvery and does an all you can eat carvery meal for £12.99 per head and it's fantastic value with fresh good quality cooked food. Huge portions and a come back for more if you can policy. Staff are amazingly attentive and friendly and you are made to feel welcome from the moment you step through the door. Easy to find location and plenty of off road parking.

5 star, as we had the NICEST roast carvery last night :))) What a lovely place, even on a rainy evening...staff were so friendly and helpful and the roasts were just perfect. Classic choice of desserts; apple crumble, sticky toffee pud and choc and fudge cake...how do you chose between them?!! Definitely going back soon :)))

The staff had excellent customer care skills. Perfect balance friendly but not familiar and very patient we had a one year old with us. The carvery was good and ample portions. Value wise worth every penny. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this establishment to anyone.There were seven adults and as stated one baby treated like Royalty.
