Auchmithie Harbour
Fantastic picturesque spot with some fab sea cliffs, derelict harbour wall and several caves, but approach from the Arbroath/south side & not from the north. There are toilets at the top of the cliffs only, and no handrail on the steps up/down -I stuck to the sloping narrow road.I wouldn't take my car down to the shoreline.

Beautiful village. Scenery is breathtaking. Well worth the visit. Auchmithie is a former fishing village in Angus, Scotland, three miles north east of the town of Arbroath. It sits atop a cliff of red sandstone conglomerate of Devonian date, approximately 120 feet above a shingle beach. Famous for its smokies.

Nothing in the way of facilities but a nice place for some gentle relaxation by the water.

This is a rough walk to get down to the shore due to rain damage on the path. However the beach itself was stunning and dramatic. Not for the unsure of foot and definitely no wheelchair access as it is a stoney beach. It's worth a visit though for the views.

Auchmithie Harbour
Beautiful place with breathtaking scenery. Fantastic cliffs with coastal trail, old harbour walls overthrown by the sea, peebles beach, small restaurant run by family. All that make this place unique.

Great pebble beach to visit. Best when the tide is out so you can venture further along it but care must be taken not to get cut off as could easily happen. The road down is now not accessible for vehicles due to erosion and care must be taken when walking down. There are deep trenches where the water has flooded down washing away the topsoil and cover on the road.
