Cherrywood Community Childcare

Our daughter was instantly settled after changing nursery to Cherrywood. The staff are friendly, caring and dedicated to teaching the children here with flash cards, differing activities with an ample amount of outdoor space which our daughter loves.

We’ve been really lucky with this nursery. Our son has been attending Cherrywood for two years and loves it. He settled well quickly and is still so excited to go in each day. He particularly enjoys being outside and the nursery has great outdoor spaces for all ages.The staff are knowledgeable and helpful when we’ve had queries and we’re kept up to date on his activities.Our younger son is due to start there later this year-for us there was no question of where he would be going and excited for him to be starting there too.

My daughter has been in the baby and 2-3yrs room at Cherrywood over the last 18 months and has really enjoyed her time here!The setting has great facilities, particularly outdoors, and really experienced and knowledgeable staff who provide us with great handovers at the end of each session. The manager is really approachable and all the room leaders are really friendly.The setting has recently started to include cooked food and nappies etc as part of their prices which has been a great help and one less thing to have to remember in the morning, and considering the provision the prices are some of the most reasonable in the area. Would highly recommend getting in touch if you are looking for a place for your little one.

My daughter has been at Cherrywood a year now and loves it. She charges straight in the morning, eager to see her friends and see what she will do that day. She always eats everything, naps well and comes home chattering about what she has been up to and showing us her latest artworks.The setting has great facilities and lots of outdoor space, which is zoned by ages so babies also get outdoor time. With the setting being a non-profit organisation, everything is reinvested which shows in the toys compared to other nurseries we looked at. Staff are always friendly and we get a good handover at the end of each day.Communication from the management team is good, allowing parents to plan when things like inset days are scheduled. They have also offer very flexible hours compared to some other nurseries we looked at, including half days and term time only placements which is brilliant.

I would not recommend them as the management is not has the right attitude. And if you have a disable child they would not recognise it. We have to pull our daughter out from this nursery and find a better nursery who they could cope with our problem. And helped us to recognise we have a special need daughter. I made a complaint about the manager and she would not speak with the right manner. Nursery is a total disaster!

Very lovely childcare who look into your child need. Friendly staff who give you update on your child activities throughout the day and also if you have any questions regarding your child and nursery they do respond back soon.With current circumstances of lack of childcare qualification staff it's not only this nursery which is facing difficulties finding qualifified staff its a national wide problem. Even with that they have done brilliant job with what they have in hand so big well done for them. Definitely recommend to any new parents .

Great nursery, our daughter has been attending for over a year and she loves it. She has developed so much since attending here.Staff are really friendly, and always happy to help or make suggestions if you have any queries. They also give a detailed recap of the day on pick up.

Absolutely awful since new manager arrived many staff members have left and they don't have a good word to say about it anymore. staff rude, no consistency for the children and if you don't agree with something they take away your child's space and blame you! your child goes through more keyworkers than hot dinners and on many occasions you get told to keep your child off due to no staff

It is very local to us. Our child has been there for almost a year now. He has developed a lot since he joined the nursery. They have very friendly staff. They welcome and see off children with a big smile and updates on all day to day activities, their lunch, their sleep and any other relevant information. There has been a lot of changes on staff though which is a wary for all as your child is not being consistent with one. They really need to focus to keeping the permanent staff. Overall, they have done a good job and my child is happy, which is the biggest factor.
