This company is so bad! Useless salesman and couldn’t get through to anyone to place an order for a week. When I did they didn’t have the stock of the carpet and had to move the fitting which I had to wait at home all day for with no indication of when they were coming. Nice carpet but useless company to deal with

The team at Tonbridge were excellent in understanding my needs.

Dear reader,I used Carpetright in Tonbridge to replace a carpet in 4 bedrooms and in the living room. Sales guys in the store were very nice and it was a pleasure to talk to them, they helped with choosing a right carpet as well as with coordinating fitting service to suit my dates. Cannot complain.Next is about actual fitting service... It is very poor. From my view the fitters are very tight on schedule are as a result are only interested to get the job done as fast as possible. If there are any issues with floor then it is not their business, they simply carry on and put the carpet in top. Later, if any issues raised they refer to the mistakes from estimation / surveyor. Surely, nobody likes to admit personal mistakes.In my case an estimator suggested to improve the quality of the carpet in the lounge by laying mdf on concrete extension part and ply on floorboards, extra ~ £560. Unfortunately, I agreed.After this 'improvement' the carpet appeared to have a ridge at the place where extension starts. Of course, fitters used an excuse it was because of issues with the level of the floors in two parts of the room and estimator missed that (before their work I had a carpet in the room without ridge).Anyway, I've raised this issue with the store. After a few email exchanges and one month of waiting the fitter and a manager paid me a visit and demonstrated that the floor is not perfectly flat. They did not have a spirit level and instead used a piece of timber covered with carpet. (sure, one should not expect fitters have spirit level :) ) At the end they asked me to buy a spirit level and check it myself.This was their final conclusion and recommendation. I did not receive any response on further emails. They even did not offer me to make it right at certain cost, just went to silence mode.In the other room there was a badly nailed floorboard, they just left it as it was and put a carpet on top. Job done, isn't it? Next assignment.I leave it to reader to decide to risk and use their fitting service or try the luck with local tradesman. This also may go wrong but at least they will not be in rush to get the job done as fast as possible as guys from carpetright.

Very knowledgeable staff great experience

very rude staff do not use this store the sales guys just want to have a go at you for not putting your trolley away it's not big or clever to have a go at a women with 3 kids. We have spend a lot of money in carpet right over the years but never again.

Excellent service from the staff at Tonbridge branch , Shayne and Sam , during the buying process. Good product knowledge and advice on choosing the right carpet. Timely follow up after the estimator had visited our home. We look forward to having our new carpets fitted.
