Scapa Beach

One of Orkney's must see beaches. Visited mid September and effectively had the beach to ourselves. Stunning views and, given everything that has happened in Scapa flow, very poignant.

An absolutely stunning stretch of beach, easily one of the most beautiful beaches on Orkney. It was really busy which was lovely to see and it was also a very clean beach, something to be very proud of indeed. I went into the clear blue water for a paddle and it was amazingly warm! Gorgeous beach for a stroll and a splash.

A lovely clean beach, with a good mix of sand and stones, and plenty of space for all to enjoy! We only spent an hour here, but we had a lovely relaxing walk from one end to the other, plenty of splashing and exploring to be done with young children. Even found a jelly fish! Great views, and will visit again when back in Orkney. Parking not an issue when I went either. Despite it being one of the warmest days of the year, I was pleasantly surprised to not find the beach overcrowded (As you would expect on an English beach!). Cannot stress how relaxing and fun it was, a lovely hour for Mum and children whilst Dad did a tour around the Scapa Distillery!

Beautiful clean beach with sparkling blue water . Beautiful white sand and great cliffs that you can walk alonf. Handy bus stop and wc close by. Carpark as well

Scapa Beach is a rather large beach with lots of lovely sand. On a warm day like the one we had it was lovely to walk on the beach and get your feet wet at the waters edge. Worth a look-see.

Nice short walk along the beach and past Scapa distillery. The HMS Royal Oak memorial is worth a visit - reminds you of the senselessness of war.The views of Scapa Flow are amazing.
