Ustinov Studios

Great play in front row so less than perfect visibility, but excellent acoustic.

Ustinov studios were an absolute delight. I caught a performance of 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf' which was just terrifically dark and witty. A great cast, who very well portrayed incredibly rich and complicated characters.As for the venue itself, it is a charming and cosy little studio, highlighting the real rawness of stage theatre, with exceptionally priced drinks and intermission treats, but if you don't like rubbing shoulders with strangers, maybe find shows that are a bit quieter in numbers. As for the accessibility, there are toilets located on a number of floors, with accessibility being on the ground level, and a lift to get to the floor seating of the studio, however there is not one to the gallery. (which I poorly choose, as it was not very well signposted on the website). The staff were extremely kind, patient and helpful in this matter, taking the time to listen to feedback and concerns and genuinely asking how they could better improve the experiences of those visiting. All in all, a great experience and I will definitely be visiting again.

This was our first and last visit to the Ustinov Studios. I booked seats in the circle not realising how cramped they were. My husband is 6ft 3 and I'm 5ft 2. My husband's back was playing up before the end of the 2nd act and I was in severe pain with mine. We were both so uncomfortable that we left before the 3rd act. So disappointed to not be able to see the final act of a rivetting and compelling play with a stellar cast. We are both in our early sixties and not quite as flexible as we were, so not a theatre for us.

This is a very small venue. The word to use is intimate. The seats are fold down benches for 2 people. As a bigger person they are very snug. Sound is good and as it's so small the view of the stage is great.

Every play we have seen at the Ustinov has been fantastic

Interesting 2- hander play, Charlotte and Theodore with Kris Marshall and Eve Ponsonby. Funny, dramatic and finally sad. Padded bench type seating. Not the best for long legs. Very intimate theatre.

Small theatre, but it's nice to be so close to the stage. Word of warning though, the circle is quite steep, if you don't like heights you may struggle.

Perfect theatre for a more intimate experience. You feel very much part of the play due its small setting.

Saw Good Bye Mr Haffman. From start to finish a fantastic experience very moving thought provoking and funny to boot. All the actors made this play come alive. Nice theatre sat in the stalls third row and had a good clear view of every thing. Sell out every seat taken great atmosphere.
