I am only for a week in Bristol, but I am going back probably every day. This place has a nice atmosphere, peaceful, people were respectful toward cats. I really loved it <3

Very local-felt pub. People are nice and most importantly… the cats are adorable!! They even let you pet their belly! If you have a cat, you know that’s forbidden territory.Pub has good and cheap beer, and of course you can get better quality ones here as well.Music is played through a vinyl player and in general - very cosy!

Good cat filled pub. Sure, the cat wee' smell can hit you as you enter but there are thirteen cats living here and you are the guest, it doesn't linger either. Keep that in mind. I sat at the bar with my friend and the grumpy Siamese cat, Wolfgang. He was given a sign after trying to bite me after too much fuss, which I found hilarious. Great team of two girls on the bar too. All good.Spoke with the landlord and I can see why previous reviewers would say he's rude. He isn't rude at all. He is just passionate about quality beers, traditional pubs and his cats. You can't call Wetherspoons a proper pub after attending Bag of Nails.

A cat pub, as promised. Exceeds expectations. Buy a drink, sit down, and patiently wait until one jumps on you. If you're impatient, there will probably be a few sleeping on the bar top. Can be a bit cramped when the upstairs in closed, but not a reason to not go. Good selection of ciders as well, a few bag-in-box draught options and bottles from the area (Real Cider!).Worth a visit if you like cats. Also worth a visit if you like cider.

I first went in here because I wanted to pet some of their lovely cats and taste great local beers. I kept coming back because I live nearby and the pub stole my heart. People are absolutely amazing there, both staff and the regulars. The poker tournaments on Mondays are so much fun. The cats all have their amazing personalities as well and I can't imagine a week without stopping by at least a few times. Highly recommended, the best local I've ever had. By far.

Such a great place! It was very cosy and is a great place to have a drink/play board games. Amazing tunes playing on the record player, lovely staff, and all of the kitties you can pat! The beers on tap were also fantastic. Can't recommend this place enough.

Please don't forget, this is firstly a pub! But it's the cats that make the experience. Well looked after and happy cats. Recommend at least one visit whilst in Bristol.

I went there to see lovely tubby cats, and it was a fabulous experience to stroke cats while sipping my pale ale! The place is small though they need a bigger place as they have more interest and it could be nice to have more space to enjoy the pub more..
