Barley Town House

The current building was built in 1526 and thought to have replaced the existing 400 year old structure.In 1996 this building became the first village hall to be licensed to hold civil marriages. It has gained Grade 11 listing status.

Brilliant location for our son's wedding really enjoyed ourselves.

We had our wedding ceremony here in August and it was just brilliant. the buidling itself is beautiful, we were allowed to decorate just how we wanted and everyone commented on how beautiful it is. Robin who I dealt with from booking through to our day is lovely and so incredibly helpful. She made our day as stress free as possible, 100% recommend!

A very versatile venue, I have lived in barley for over 20 years and attended many events in the Townhouse: weddings, civil marriages, Charity fundraising events, Children's parties, Anniversary celebrations, Afternoon tea parties, monthly Gardening clubs, keep-fit classes and village meetings. It is a beautiful building with good clean catering facilities. I have also decorated it in my professional capacity many times , filling it with flowers on special occasions and I regularly hire the building for the barley annual Christmas Market, the people who run the townhouse have always been a pleasure to work with.

It's great for a party except there is a noise metre so you have to be careful to keep the noise down and if you have the DJ upstairs you can't jump

We hired the Barley Town House for our Wedding on Saturday and what a beautiful venue and location to hold our ceremony and reception!The wooden beams inside are just perfect and really complimented our rustic themed wedding! The location itself is peaceful and picturesque! Just down from the town house is a few fields and a kids play park which was perfect!Plenty of parking available, modern up to date facilities with a kitchen upstairs and downstairs! Three bathrooms downstairs and a toilet upstairs so perfect for any occasion!Prices are very reasonable for the hire and they do packages to suit every occasion! They were very helpful even providing contact details for caterers, DJs, Florists etc which was handy as we're not from the local area!

We had our wedding at the Barley Town House. It's a beautiful venue, and has all the facilities you need for a medium-sized wedding and / or reception. The venue manager was extremely helpful, both before and on the day, and the price is very reasonable indeed. Can't recommend highly enough!

Best location in Barley for weddings or big meetings. Strongly recommended.
