EDT Surrey Ltd

I've used EDT Surrey in two properties now, both times their survey and works have rectified the issues, and provided a very good service.

Mark and Lou did a top quality job in damproofing our house, they were efficient, on time and made sure that the place was clean before they left every day. Our house no longer smells of damp when we come in so it has made a real difference!EDT provided us with a free damp survey prior to the works which matched the issues identified in the homebuyers survey, would recommend this company to anyone!

Update..... I've used EDT twice over the lock down(s) for damp and dry rot treatment and they were promt and a good price, their site foreman kept us updated daily and they were very clean and made minimal mess in our house. As per my previous review I will recommend them to friends and family.

Extremely disappointed with the service recieved. We had a free damp survey done in April on a property we were buying. I recieved no follow up from this so phoned EDT and was told no damp was found so a report wouldn't be produced. We found this odd being a very old Victorian property. As expected, high damp readings were found in a number of walls and a strong smell of damp was found once we had moved in. I phoned EDT and kindly asked for further advice, absolutely willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Afterall, it would be in their interest to find damp! It was sadly their response that really disgruntled me. They firstly gave me a bunch of excuses about previous residents putting furniture in front of the walls so they couldn't take damp readings in certain places which I knew was very unlikely given where the damp was and knowing the previous owners. Second, they told me they would arrange a surveyor to come back out and offer further advice which I agreed to. It has now been 3 weeks and absolutely no-one has contacted me. Don't waste your time with this company, pay a small fee and get it done properly with someone else.

I called EDT because I had a spot of damp on my wall on the property we have just moved in to. I selected them because they don't charge a survey fee just to come and have a look, unlike all the others I phoned.The guy came around at short notice and took a look inside and outside and quickly established it was because a neighbour has left a table against the exterior wall which meant that the water wasn't evaporating- causing the damp- a very simple and immediate fix.Not only did he not try to rip me off by claiming that the issue was bigger than it was, he also didn't take any money from me despite my insistence.Brilliant service and obviously genuine and trustworthy company. If I do have any further damp issues(hopefully not) I wont hesitate to get in touch.

Fantastic, thoroughly recommend. Very efficient, on time, courteous, helpful, kept me informed at every stage and contained the necessary mess as much as they could. Tidied at end of each day. The plasterwork treatment end result is excellent.
