Timsbury Clocks

Spoke to Simon and explained I had a clock mechanism that was not chiming. I took it to him and he looked it over whilst i waited and he felt it was all functioning as should. He even replaced a missing clock hammer, and did not charge me for his time. Will definetly go back to Simon the next time the need arises.

Symon and team are very very helpful. It is just a joy to discuss your horology problems then have them sorted. It's worth having a wonky clock just to visit

I took a mechanical music box to be repaired here. No other clock repairer was able to or willing to undertake this work, but Timsbury Clocks were able to fix it the same day and only charged £10. Excellent craftsmanship. A fascinating shop filled beautiful old clocks. Friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Lousy customer relationsI am amazed by all these 5-star reviews as they totally fail to match my experience of Symon: so bad that I am tempted to be blunt about it but do not want to be sued (!), so I will simply tell the truth. Symon came to our house in APRIL, spent a few minutes working on our grandfather clock and got it ticking again. I happily paid his callout charge of £85 but within hours the clock was running several minutes fast. I failed to follow his telephone instructions on adjusting the clock and, on the third attempt, it stopped. Despite begging him to return, he will to this day (SEPTEMBER tomorrow) not even indicate a date when he might come ('when I have time'). I have no reason to doubt his skill (but no evidence of it either!). After waiting for a response for so long, I am likely to take up his suggestion of finding another clock restorer if I am unhappy but feel he really should refund me my money.

Took an old inherited sentimental clock for repair, I was told it was not good quality and he did not want ho repair it. The fact it was my late mother's, and was sentimental did not matter. Thank goodness Taylor of Paulton were more sympathetic

Requested a copy invoice which was 18 months old. Got the invoice same day - excellent service.

This is a real clock shop, ran by someone who loves them. He has spent a life time restoring clocks. Definitely worth a visit.

I have been using the shop for many years and it never ceases to amaze me Symon‘s knowledge and dedication to his work he has maintained and even sold me beautiful items from him for gifts for family members always. I would always thoroughly recommend him and those how have been to see him through my recommendation have always come back to say how welcoming he and his wife are and how punctual they have been with repairs.
