The listing for the Redcar branch of Knaggs seems to have been removed along with the multiple 1 star ratings and poor reviews they received. Considering how frustrated, stressed and angry we were dealing with Knaggs, I'm reposting my original review here to make other people aware.Review:Atrocious.I know online reviews can sometimes seem over the top, especially negative ones, but please believe every single 1-star review here (now removed reviews).Though they were not our solicitor directly, Knaggs represented the Buyers of our property.Zero communication throughout the process - the communication was so poor that we had our Buyers, the Buyer's Mortgage Advisor, the Estate Agent, my solicitor and myself contacting them daily with no replies to any emails or phone calls. Constant delays with mishandled or incorrect documentation. When we sent back the completed enquiry report, it turned out Knaggs didn't then forward this to the Buyers, their client. Instead, they left it for 4 weeks and only sent it to the Buyers a few days before the Completion Date. This created significant problems and the deal nearly fell through on the last day. What should have been a fairly straightforward sale turned into a nightmare situation.There were more problems throughout the process but this review would be too long. Do yourself a favour and avoid 5 months of misery by going with a different firm.Luckily, a friend mentioned to me in passing that they may be using Knaggs for their services. I told them everything that had happened to us, our experience with them and showed the (now removed) reviews here. They've instantly changed their mind and gone with another firm, so that's one person saved. I hope Knaggs start haemorrhaging business because of their poor performance

As Knaggs have somehow been able to remove the DOZENS of negative reviews posted over the last few months, I thought I'd post mine again.DO NOT USE. I wish I could leave a zero star review. They will not call you back, they will not chase things with 3rd parties (in fact have the audacity to ask you to do the chasing), they will not acknowledge receipt of your funds, they will not send the correct information to 3rd parties, they will not allocate 1 solicitor to your case and they certainly won't tell you when this solicitor is changed. Almost 6 months to purchase a house I was already living in (purchasing from landlord) with no chain and in the final days was asked why I was so eager to complete. Absolutely unbelievable. My case is now with the ombudsman as after all of that, Stuart Lisgo didn't even bother responding to my official complaint. They should be banned from conveyancing.

DO NOT USE.All previous reviews have been deleted, which tells you everything about this firm. I’m not going to waste more of my time and energy writing anything else on this review other than, they will cost you more than just money and will have an impact on your mental health with their lack of competency.Please please please no matter how desperate you are do not use this firm.

Do not use this company. They have somehow managed to delete their last listing which had numerous 1star reviewsThey are horrendous to use

Total lack of professionalism. Buying a house in cooperation with this law firm is a real nightmare. Call after call no answer no information. The case that was supposed to last 3 months lasted 6. I do not recommend this facility. It should be checked and closed. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism. one star is still too much!

Now having to look at alternative housing solutions for a family member who used this service. Very little to no progress on a file they have had for months. Has impacted wider family unit significantly.

DO NOT USE!!!!I cant stress this enough. Disgraceful treatment, totaly incompetent and rip you off with massive bills. Should not be allowed to practice!

Used them for the purchase of our house which luckily we are now in. Nearly no thanks to these “solicitors” absolutely useless had me doing there job 3 days before completion. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING FIRM

Stay away from this frim , unless you fancy a emotional and financial distressing ride.I choose them for my purchase and regretting my decision till today even after completion.
