This is the best way to explore Oxford. We got an extra day in our trip and decided to go to Oxford. On our way we contacted the tour company and they offered us a private tour since we didn’t had a lot of time with us to explore and they couldn’t fit us in one of their existing tour time. Anyway, we were party of 6 and it made sense for our to do the private tour. Our tour guide was Andrew, who made the entire experience fun and interesting. He met us at the Oxford train station. We had great time at Oxford.

Very disappointing. Their website said the tour includes the entry fees to colleges like New College. We were charged twenty british pounds for the tour and only got entry to Divinity school (entry fee 2.5 pounds) and Exeter college. The rest of the amount went into the pockets of the tour company. It was a rip off.Yes, the guide was very knowledgeable and told us interesting facts about Oxford and also gave us recommendations for what else to do after the tour, but that was not what we only signed up for and hence, it was a very disappointing experience.

Alex was our tour guide and he was excellent. He shared a lot of information from an insider’s perspective. The tour started on time and was in no way rushed. We saw even more than we expected. Highly recommend.

If you're not a fan of Harry Potter, don't bother. Oxford, of course, is gorgeous, but the tour mostly covered places one can explore for free. The places where we were exclusively let in were apparently famous from Harry Potter. Nice guide, certainly trying to entertain, but I pretty much didn't get it. My (adult) children, who have followed Harry Potter, said the tour was a bit disappointing in that some places they thought they might see where not shown.

A nice little tour around some of Oxford's key sights, with a focus on history and the university. Our particular tour was a little unusual, as the company's owner took us around for the first 15 mins, and was then replaced with the usual tour guide (whom I think was running late). Sadly this did mean the initial few minutes of the tour were spent simply killing time while waiting for our proper guide to arrive, and made it feel a little disjointed, but learning about university life and Trinity College (which isn't usually open to the public without a fee) in particular was of great interest. The tour itself has more of a focus on local history tidbits, with alleged ghosts and hauntings included as a bit of a by-the-by (a shame considering it's labelled a 'ghost walk'), and I would've liked some more in-depth information about some of the historical places we visited (rather than simply 'Here's where this scene in Harry Potter was filmed') but it was nice to get out the house and spend some time looking around our local city.

This particular tour was a ghost tour. Unfortunately our tour guide was terrible. Besides forgetting details and Umming and ahhhing regularly, he also made irrelevant comments about trans people. There was also a lady in a wheelchair who he constantly left behind and who he referred to as ‘the wheelchair’. According the the lady in the wheelchair, she was told the tour was wheelchair accessible, but virtually every place we went to was not. Would not recommend. Terrible value for money and an uncomfortable tour guide.
