It's gone bad. Rewind the clock back a few years and I would have recommended this place. Now, portions are smaller and the prices have gone up more than inflation.

I was cold, and wet. but just as i thought my life had reached its low point, and that i couldn’t escape this horrendous town of reading, i was given a ray of hope. I looked up, and saw the sign. Mr Cod. I was cold and wet, i needed refuge from the rain. i took a chance and went inside. i ordered a large fish and chips. reasonable price. more than reasonable taste. it was gorgeous. the chips were beautifully soft on the outside. the fish coated in a crispy batter which tasted as if all the warmth came back into my body. thanks to Mr Cod i no longer wish to leave reading

By Far the best Mr Cod in Reading! Absolutely Clean from the inside, with excellent customer service, I Have been to every Mr Cod’s in Reading, And honestly This is By Far The Mr Cods. will strongly Recommend! Best Me Cod in Reading! They do not let you down with all the food!!

If i could leave a zero star I would popped in for food and got refused service because I only had card (bill came to over £9) because it didn't meet the £10 minimum on card (sign went up today btw) I had to walk away which is fine placed my order in the next local shop who happily accepted my cars payment.... you lost out on income
