I was out with the Mrs on the Thames in our 2 man rubber dinghy the other day.All of a sudden a shouty chap in a boat pulled along side yelling at us through a loud hailer stroke stroke!I was so alarmed that I dropped my M&S prawn sandwich into the water.When the crowds gathered along the tow path started cheering we soon realised that we had in fact inadvertently gate crashed the reggata.I would like to unreservedly like to apologise to Staines rowing club,I will in future check on reggata dates before venturing fourth in our inflatble.

I have attended a number of Staines Regattas and it is always a great day out. The races are easy to watch and there is a live website, so you can see who is racing as well as check the results. There is a bar and lovely catering enclosure with home made cakes and a barbecue. I would certainly recommend if you are in the area. Second last Saturday in July, usually.
