Awesome experience, unplanned Sunday roast dinner, called to book a table but came in earlier than thought, however wasn't a problem as we were greeted by the owner and table was available despite us being early (45 minutes before planned arrival). Extremely pleasant place, warm welcoming and customer caring team. Food was great, tasty and portions are generous and reasonably priced. We had been well looked after, one not to be missed. Looking forward to our next visit, perhaps not on a Sunday as we are keen to try the other dishes served. Most recommended.Visited again and I confirm, definitely worth a visit, Sunday Roast is exquisite, you won't be disappointed!!!

Had a really lovely meal with the family here. We took advantage of the Tuesday night offer (2 courses for £10) which was excellent value and food was great. We loved the veggie burgers with halloumi. Delicious apple crumble.

Excellent Sunday carvery at reasonable price. Declined pudding otherwise might not have made walk back. Bar area allows dogs but limited tables available . Booking advised for Sundays or special events otherwise walk-ins usually fine (i was told) Clean & well presented. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Decent country pub / restaurant with a good sized garden and car park. From the start, the staff were very attentive. The sunday vegetarian option we thought was a rather strange mix of cuisines - lasagna with Sunday sides. Although it took around 35 minutes to reach the table, it was generously portioned and delicious. We left feeling very full and satisfied!

The WBC hosted our end of season steam Road run, we managed to up at least 12 vintage vehicles,, and associated living accommodation in the car park, the 3 course carvery meal was fantastic and was managed with precision, to feed the crews 50+ individuals. Many thanks Georgie and your team, we where struggling trying to book a taxi after to our accommodation further up the road and Georgie took us in her own car, you are a star , thank you very much we really appreciated your help.

We spent a Saturday evening at this friendly country pub.Staff were friendly, helpful and polite throughout.Food was reasonably priced on the menu.Started with sweet chilli tempura prawns and crispy chilli beef. Both dishes presented well, good portion for a starter, and tasted amazing.Lasagne and gammon were our choice for mains, both of which were very nice and good portions of food.Highly recommended and we'll definitely be using again .... and again ...... and again.

This is a lovely place to eat, with a play area and seating area outside, one seating area had a cover over it and the other was near to the play area, We had a carvery which is the Sunday menu and it was delicious, had a choice between 4 meats, and a variety of different vegetables with a range of different sauces aswell, it did get very busy while we were there around 1.30pm so I would advise booking as there may be a wait if you don't pre book.
