East Surrey Hospital

I have been with my son yesterday at afternoon to this hospital following an urgent GP referral after my son experience episodes of high fever and recurrent infection . At our arrival on the children’s unit they only checked his Obs and left us to wait for 9 hours. My son is only 2 years old and during the waiting time he for high fever , I went to ask the nurse if anyone can check his temperature as I know he got fever , the staff did ignore what I asked for and said to wait , after a while I have been back and I sow are , she was already with other patient . I have been to the nurse in charge which said someone will give ibuprofen . The nurse did not came to see my son and in general there were so many staff , laughing , joking between them and using the phone in front of patient , I believe working with children as a staff nurse or clinician there shouldBe more empathy to deliver care . I do not recommend this hospital as they are failing to deliver proper care and no communication between patient and staff . They treat people with no manners and taking Everything as a joke . Very very poor care !!!

A brilliant hospital. My elderly relative has been looked after so well. The staff are lovely. The various teams work so well together. The care from Accident and emergency to the wards has been brilliant.

5 stars not enough to rate my feelings about the treatment I received for my breath cancer. All the staff I met have been nothing short of amazing, kind caring and informative, from initial diagnosis to discharge. A special shout out to Washington on the post surgery ward who was so attentive and friendly, a lovely man, the hospital is lucky to have him there. Thanks to everyone in the NHS who is doing a wonderful job despite this government's underfunding and total disregard for the work they do

I had to drive to the hospital at 02:00 in the morning to East Surrey Hospital (A&E) on a Sunday. My brother had abrupt abdominal pain with persistant sickness. Fortunately, we went to the hospital as it transpires he has a kidney stone. The hospital staff from triaging nurse to on-duty doctor, were fantastic in thier level of care. Understandably there was a long wait to get seen but the quality of care was worth the wait. After receving initial diagnosis and care from on-duty doctor we were able to see the urologist in the morning. Discharged in the morning with the appropriate care plan. My brother is now on the mends. Amazing hospital and staff. Thank you all for your hard work!

Took My Autistic daughter to children's apartment, we were given a quite room,which was fantastic. Daniel and serg were both so kind, caring and extremely patient with her when she needed her blood test and other tests. Amazing compassion from both these gentlemen. Thank you both for making her experience a calm and relaxed one.

Twice now the child assessment unit has been shocking. First time went no rooms available so had consultation in the waiting room in front of everyone. Second time went for a blood test with my 4 year old and she wasn't given numbing cream which they knew about and just did it anyway. Will not be back, do not care how far we have to go for another hospital. People who work with children are supposed to be caring!

Awful the worst example of inefficiency, uncaring and sheer lies. Wait tine less than an hour so why have i been sat here knowing i need to be given IV trearment fluid & antibiotics (their diagnosis 2 weeks ago pre oral antibiotics finishing. Letter fron GP following up no raction to antibiotocs and said it may speed up ae wait. If this is speedy i dread to think slow. Reception staff rude, aggressive and singularly unhelpful. Its wheb you exoerience times like this i see the tory arguments about pay rates. I woudnt want my pet treated here let alone friends or family.

Went for an xray on a fractured ankle. Hospital was clean and open. Didn't have to wait very long and appointment times were mostly kept. Staff were helpful and friendly. God love the NHS and the fantastic staff that go the extra mile. Thanks East Surrey Hospital.

Excellent A&E system. Were seen to within 20 minutes. Got an x ray straight away and received results then subsequent treatment after promptly. Staff were super friendly and helpful despite it being the middle of the night!
