Shelter Furniture shop (Sunderland)

Unprofessional workers, trying to kick me out of their store for a mistake they did, they were suppose to deliver an item to me but the called the wrong number and when I called them to ask why I haven’t received my package they said they tried to reach me and my Someone else picked, so they came and they didn’t see anyone then they took it back, I had to go back to sunderland from Gosfort to with my payment invoice that they gave me, and apparently on my invoice my number is correct but on their paper, the number is not, instead of the manager to calm down and fix the issue she was threatening to kick me out of the store for raising my voice because they refuse to take responsibility for their mistake, and they wanted us to pay for another delivery,Before we sorted everything out and I left, she said I have being banned from the store and anything I come the will call the police on me

The best family and friendly staff and people to ask questions plus work with everyday when you come in the doors at shelter

Just want to say what an amazing experience I had whilst on a voluntary placement here the manager couldn't of been more supportive with guidance and advice, she helped me build my confidence and i'm now in paid employment couldn't thank the store enough and would hugely recommend to anyone.

Do not understand the negativity of some of these reviews..... I have nothing but praise for the management and staff eveytime I have visited this store. They seem very well informed and are very friendly.

Very disappointing service from Shelter.I arranged instore with the shop assistant to have a wall unit that I purchased, delivered to my home address which, is a 1st floor flat.One of the delivery men who arrived was unhappy delivering the unit to an upstairs flat despite clear instructions and arrangements having been made instore and to which should not have been an issue.Consequently, the same delivery man refused to remove another item that had also been pre-arranged" for collection at the same time.Presumably because he did not want have to carry another item downstairs

I bought a cloth from the shop in Sunderland and returned it because it didn't fit.I was told I can come to shop anytime with my credit note and receipt. I visited later and was told the credit note/receipt can only be used within 2 weeks. This information was not conveyed to me the day I made the return.

Visited shelter shop in Sunderland recently and compared to last time I visited about 8 months ago what a massive difference! Lovely friendly atmosphere and fantastic shop to have s look around,manageress was helpful,friendly and very informative on where money raised goes to.I will definitely be shopping there again!

I only received one of my items, they forget to delived my other item

Couldn’t thank the manager anymore totally stuck on my feet were I can move all my old furniture so I went into to store and they told me I could donate and she helped me lift heavy things even though she was super busy herself totally recommend this store if anyone has any unwanted things! Such a good charity shop! Totally be looking into volunteering here when I get spare time 5* from me..
