We hired Bruce to do a structural and home buyer's survey on a terraced house as he was highly recommended by a friend. Bruce did an exceptional job. As first time home buyers we had a lot to learn about potential issues with older houses and Bruce was very patient and responsive with us. His building report was very thorough and identified issues with the property that we had not seen after multiple viewings. The vendors ultimately conducted their own more invasive survey after we raised the issues highlighted in Bruce's report and found his report was very accurate and the remediation costs were very close to his estimates. We are very happy with the service Bruce provided and highly recommend him, particularly for first time property buyers.

Bruce's home survey was excellent, thorough and prompt. Albeit he is roughly 50% more expensive than other surveyors, his review has been tremendously valuable to us and helped us to potentially save tens of thousands of pounds of works that we would incurred into after home purchase. He discussed his survey in details, provided advice on the overall negotiation process and offered to further review additional documents to ensure our purchase is sound.We feel Bruce has been our partner in this process as opposed to a transactional advisor, simply completing his assignment.

Bruce was such a pleasure to work with. He responded to my initial email within an hour and was happy to explain the services he was able to provide, which as a first time buyer, was very reassuring. He arranged to see the flat immediately and turned around the report in 24 hours, which was amazing. I cannot recommend Bruce enough. He carried out a building and structural survey on our recent purchase and his service and turnaround time was second to none. Bruce was incredibly thorough, providing us with a large set of very detailed photos covering the whole house inside and out. His written report was also extremely detailed covering all aspects of the property and his explanations where clear and concise. He was easy to contact and replied to all phone calls and emails on the same day. I found Bruce's quote slightly higher than others but it was without doubt a worthwhile investment. Bruce went above and beyond to deliver a survey tailored to our needs that answered the questions we needed. when the Survey was complete he sent the report to me within 24hrs and the next morning spent a good 30 minutes talking me through it over the phone. Bruce was able to carry out a full structural survey on a mid-terrace house within a week of us booking his services. He provided a detailed report along with numerous photographs a few hours later and has confirmed his availability to discuss the findings. We have not yet had the opportunity to speak to Bruce about the report but look forward to doing so soon. In terms of prompt service, reliability in carrying out what he said he would, as well as attention to detail, I have no hesitation in recommending Bruce’s services.

Highly recommended. Bruce was not only prompt in carrying out the survey, but also in returning - on the same day - a detailed, comprehensive report of his findings. He also made himself available and willing to discuss his report in depth, and in plain english, which, as I'm a first time buyer, was extremely helpful and reassuring. We instructed Bruce to perform a full buildings survey on a property that we had offered on. Bruce was able to quickly perform the survey and had a quick turnaround time in writing his report and opinions. He was also available to take us through the report to help our understanding of his conclusions. Bruce provided good advice and off the back of his advice, we decided not to go ahead with the purchase due to the structural implications identified in his survey.
