This oriental restaurant is tucked away near a few other trendy bars and have only known about it for a few years due to word of mouth, otherwise it’s quite easy to miss. The dynamic decorations along with authentic Chinese cuisine make it a great place for a pre-night out place to dine with a group. It’s also very unique in the ways your order and the staff are very helpful! The food was really tasty, although I don’t think the prices matched too fairly in my opinion. I would argue that some items are expensive and some are decently priced? But overall it’s quite hard to gauge and by the time the meal ends and you pay for the bill everything seems to have added up. I do recommend this place for the experience and enjoying the general vibe and decorum as it really shines and reflects an Eastern eatery, but I don’t find myself wanting to come back more than once a year. I only come here for special occasions and there’s usually other opinion that myself or family, friends and co-workers prefer. But highly recommend if you haven’t been before, you’ll enjoy what Man’s Market has to offer!

Great place for street food style Chinese in a quirky atmosphere and a unique ordering system. Menu offers a variety of dishes, including dim sum and bao, along with more traditional staples.Visited for lunch and decided on having the bao meal deal. Two bao buns (with choice of fillings), side and a drink for roughly £12-14. Food came quickly and tasted delicious.Service staff were friendly and attentive, great spot if you want a quick bite as a small group and fancy something a bit different.

Food was good but pretty small portions especially for the price. Toilets were also pretty dirty but other than that defo would go again. We had the mans fried rice with beef, salt and pepper chips and salt and pepper king prawns which were all really good but the chips portion was very small and only about 4 prawns on the plate. Staff were all really nice though and the place looks and feels great.

I really wanted to like this place as it looked so good on TikTok. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From the moment I walked in, I had high hopes for a memorable meal, but regrettably, it fell short in several aspects. In terms of appetisers, the lotus crisps were a pleasant surprise. They provided a crunchy and flavorful start to the meal, setting some initial positive expectations. However, the vegan Mans sharing box was quite a letdown. Among the assortment of items, the cauli wings were the standout, offering a satisfying taste. Unfortunately, the rest of the items, including the spring rolls, veg gyoza, tempura veg, and panko tofu, fell flat in terms of flavor and failed to leave a lasting impression.Moving on to the main dishes, the tofu chow mein was notably bland, lacking the expected depth of flavors. The black bean and pepper sharing pan showed some improvement but still didn’t reach the level of satisfaction you’d hope for in a restaurant.Dessert, unfortunately, was the lowest point of the meal. My order of the “HONG KONG EGG WAFFLE” turned out to be quite a disappointment. Instead of the promised bubble waffle, I received what appeared to be toaster waffles that were burnt. Furthermore, the absence of marshmallows and a fortune cookie was a letdown, as these elements were expected to complement the dessert. Similarly, my partner’s “NUTELLA SESAME TOAST” dessert seemed to have missed the mark, resembling deep-fried white bread with Nutella inside rather than the expected Chinese-inspired treat. Sesame seeds were absent from the dish as well.To add to the dessert ordeal, the absence of cutlery for our desserts, leaving us to eat ice cream with chopsticks, created an additional inconvenience.Overall, while this place showed some promise with its lotus crisps and cauli wings, the rest of the dining experience, particularly the main dishes and desserts, left much to be desired. The deviations from the expected dishes and the absence of key elements in the desserts were disappointing. The cats on the wall at the entrance was probably the best part.

Overall a little disappointed, especially as this place had been hyped up and we'd wanted to try it for a while. The service was okay- our table wasn't ready when we arrived, which would have been fine had we been given the opportunity to order drinks/read a menu whilst we waited. The selection of food on the menu was promising and the prices didn't seem bad, however when we received the food we didn't feel it was good value for money at all and overall the food was quite bland. There are definitely tastier Chinese food for better value elsewhere in the city!

Such a good find! The BEST Chinese food I probably have ever had and the service was great too. My friend and I hogged a table for over 4 hours while we chatted and munched our way through the ‘lucky duck’ set menu. The staff were great, never rushed us, super friendly and very welcoming. Can’t wait to go back

Arrived and got seated fairly swiftly. The service was lovely and the atmosphere friendly and vibrant. The music and people were really nice. HOWEVER the food was bland, disappointing and highly overpriced. Steer clear of the pork dumplings which tasted like food poisoning. On a lighter note, the sauce accompanying the prawn crackers was stunning. Overall, I would only return for the delightful prawn crackers and sauce. Unfortunately, it is not a place to recommend to friends.

+ The food was good. The server recommended one of the crispy beef dishes which turned out to be the best thing we ordered.+ Service exceptional we didn't book on a Saturday night and they managed to find a spot for 5 of us by rearranging things. Also the service at the table was very quick and couldn't be faulted.

Lovely little place with a nice selection of food and drinks. Good size portions and really enjoyed the duck bao buns. The first time I visited here the service struggled but much better this time around.
