Sew Perfectly

Paula is a blessing in my life. When I first started going to her, I did not know anything about sewing and garment making. Ever since then, we have done many projects together such as making toiles, skirts, shirts and dresses. Now, I have many developed so many skills from Paula. All thanks to her, I feel much confident and passionate about fashion. There are not enough words literally to explain how angel like Paula is. She is filled with so much of talent, warmth, patience, compassion and understanding. I am very grateful to have Paula by my side. I recommend Paula to everyone!

I contacted Paula for sewing lessons as I had a few projects in mind and just didn’t have the skills to even attempt them. I had spoken to other sewing schools and chose Paula because she happily accommodated my newborn baby joining me for classes. She is a lovely lady - very friendly and patient, and quite happy to work around the needs of baby Eden. Thank you so much Paula - I’ll be booking in again as soon as I get my mum’s old machine up and running!

I had my first sewing lesson with Paula. I can highly recommend, she was very knowledgeable and patient with me. She told me a lot if information and showed me lots of different techniques. The studio was set up brilliantly, very cosy with everything you needed.Will definitely be booking again. Worth every penny.

I always enjoy my lessons with Paula at Sew Perfectly and look forward to them each week. Paula shows a genuine interest in people. She has really taken the time to get to know me. This, combined with Paula’s deep routed passion for sewing, has led to thoughtful, personalized lessons, that are both informative and interesting, as well as practical. Paula has a sunny, bright personality, and is a very talented sewer, who can turn her hand to anything. She has a vast well of knowledge and experience, not only of sewing, but of other crafts as well. In the beginning, Paula patiently guided me through the basics, providing me with a platform on which to build. Week by week, I’ve been given new bits of information to help me expand my knowledge. I have been attending lessons for a while now and find Paula doesn’t just feed me the information. She puts questions to me, prompting me to think about what I am doing and to use my own reasoning to work out the best method in each situation. When I make a choice, Paula will start a discussion on why I have gone down a particular path and she encourages me to really think about the different options available and the thinking behind each of them. This allows me to form my own opinions on sewing methods. My knowledge has been developed though this and I think it makes me a better sewer.I started with a cushion on my first lesson, but have gone on to make a fully lined, interfaced, fitted jacket, which my sister thought was shop bought when I wore it for the first time.I can recommend Paula’s lessons to anyone from beginner to advanced. Thanks Paula, for teaching me to Sew (almost Perfectly).

Recently attended a beginner's sewing course. I really enjoyed it, it was a lovely friendly and comfortable environment, we had so much fun. Paula is so knowledgeable, patient, encouraging and nothing was too much trouble. Handouts were provided to refer to at home, I learnt so much, in just 4 weeks and had so much fun. Now I have the confidence to start my own projects and make alterations on my own clothes. Thank you for getting me on my sewing journey.

I started having one to one lessons with Sew Perfectly when my youngest child went to university, leaving me with a feeling of worthlessness.Paula reminded me that where there's a loss there's always a gain - words cannot describe my gratitude towards Paula, since starting my lessons I have completed a number of projects starting with a tote bag and now designing my own garments.Paula has not only shown me how to sew, but reminded me that im still a mum - only now a more sort after mum as i can take in and up my sons jeans.Paula also predicted I would be required each and every holiday for laundry, oh how I look forward to that dirty washing.Without being to dramatic sewing with Paula saved me from a very dark place.I highly recommend Sew Perfectly for both lessons and workshops.

As I’m a total beginner and haven’t used a sewing machine before, I found Paula to be an excellent teacher. She explained each stage in an easy to understand way. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and can highly recommend her.
