Probably the best vegan pizza I've ever had. My partner had a vegan pizza too but with a gluten free base and it was incredible. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff too. If we didn't live so far away, we'd go once a week.

We recently visited just 10 minutes before the kitchen closed and they were still more than happy to serve us! We ordered three pizzas, all of which were absolutely incredible. The vegan option was super tasty, and all three were full of flavour and were each a great size. You can’t beat a stone-baked pizza and these are probably the best in town! The staff are lovely too! Thanks so much for serving us even though it was getting late, we really appreciated it!

Went in for a quick bite to eat. The place was nearly empty, we were asked if we had reserved a table, we had not we were put on a table next to the door which was cold. My Mrs went to the toilet bust came back disgusted, she said it stank, was dirty with toilet paper everywhere. I had been waiting for a drink for 10 minutes and still had not been served. Dirty establishment with poor service so we left never to return, don't bother waisting your money

A fantastic 2 4 1 pizza and cocktail deal, amazing service as expected due to Matt's high standards on a relaxed professional experience. Amazing menu, friendly staff and perfect for a bite to eat b4 theatre or cinema etc. Hats off to young Finn who dealt with an issue very well and comments from the couple near summed up how the matter could of been done elsewhere. Definitely one to return to again as Ben said pizza was less express" and more quality. Big credit to Matt and the whole team for yet another fantastic dining experience."

Now I dont do reviews often and some may say that pizzas are just pizzas however this place have just served me the very best pizzas I have ever had the pleasure of demolishing, it was superb in every way. Price was very reasonable and The sourdough base was out of this world! Credit where credit is due, the staff were wonderful, Mila and the gang and ofcourse not forgetting the Chef! Keep up the great work guys, it's a shame you guys don't deliver but rest assured as the great Arnold once said I'll be back!" Thanks again guys for such a fantastic meal."

Service sooo slow at lunch & dinner. Be prepared to wait 1hr+ for food at busy times. Quality food but sadly understaffed to be able to provide appropriate level of service. One menu between 3 wasn't enough.

We stumbled across this place whilst away on holiday and we could not be happier that we got to eat here!The place is quirky and is well kept. The atmosphere was great!The service was by far the best we have received in a very long time! Nothing was too much trouble and the waitresses went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and taken care of!The food was incredible! Pizzas were phenomenal, the child's meatballs were delicious (great portion size) and the pork belly starter was absolutely insane! I genuinely could eat my own body weight in that belly pork!!!Thank you for an amazing meal! Also thank you for taking our family photo! Really appreciate it!

I’ve never been disappointed with a meal or take away from the New Amsterdam!The cocktails are beautiful and the menu is varied and caters for all palettes!They were really accommodating when I ordered from them for my class’s pizza party at the end of term.

Had the best pizza I've ever tasted here for a hen do in August so was really excited to bring my family here. I ordered the exact same pizza as I did last time but it was completely different. The beetroot was diced up to the size of small diced swede last time but this time was in very large chunks, to the width of the outside of an orange segment and the 'crispy' pork belly was completely soft like slugs whereas last time it was lovely and crunchy. I told the waiter who said they'd cook another one. This was taking quite some time and everyone else had finished their pizzas; my husband also had a long black hair in his pizza. In the end I had to leave with my 18month old, leaving behind my husband and older child to wait for my new pizza to be cooked and boxed up. The replacement pizza had lovely crunchy pork but almost no cheese at all (at least three slices with absolutely no cheese) and still very large thick pieces of beetroot. Such a shame as the last visit was so good but I can't risk paying £56 (no goodwill gesture offered) for two pizzas, two children's pizzas and only two drinks for it to be poor quality. I guess it depends on the chef that day as the pizzas are quite different each time.The staff were lovely and provided colouring in and crayons for my two children, just a shame about the food.

A lovely place. The staff are so professional, hospitable and warm, they create a really welcoming, inviting, and inclusive environment.The food is good, the decor’s very cool, but the brilliant staff make the place.We visited as a neurodiverse group & the staff even left two fidget aids on the table.The staff obviously enjoy working as a team, and they create such a lovely atmosphere, we’d recommend The New Amsterdam for anyone seeking a relaxing, fun, chill and happy meal.Thank you!
