This place is like an Aladdin's cave -John will always go out of his way to help you find what you're looking for (at a good price too). A lovely little shop that has been serving the local community for so many years.

Excellent! I pop into John's DIY at least 3 / 4 times a year safe in the knowledge that he will always have the item I'm looking for. The service that we have received when using John's DIY has always been extremely good, and his prices are always very competitive against some of the more well-known DIY stores. I would always encourage others to shop here first rather than go to some of the bigger well-known stores where items would more than likely be double the cost..

Excellent for d.i.y. bits an pieces..got everything you need for plumbing, screws, nuts &bolts, well worth a visit...I visit very often an always come away with the bits I so desperately need....well done John...

Love this place! It's like Aladins cave, it's been in sholing for years! You've tried the rest now try the best! Very reasonable and always end up spending more then then I went in there for.

love this place, John always has what you need, it an Aladdin's cave of everything.Prices are spot on and i must say that if Johns hasn't got it, its not worth having.Always shop here for the bits and bobs rather than going to the bigger more corporate shop. Johns has probably saved me a fortune in both cash and time.

A real gem of a store if you want any hardware,screws etc. Old fashioned four candles style and certainly no reflection of what it looks like from outside. Prices look like they haven't gone up for years also. I could say a Boys Garage Bits Heaven but with the frilly smelly wax melts at the door you could always bring the other half.Came across them from outside the area and solved a ridiculously small but hard to locate screw in moments.Would definitely be on my specialists shops list and return again. Shame so far away

If John's dousnt have it, you don't need it. Great stock, expert service and advice and I luv that you can buy what volume you need rather than be forced to buy a pkt of ten screws when you only need two! Great store.

A really quaint and querty shop which stocks stuff you will need in small doses unlike prepackaged items where you buy more than you need. Sad to report that after many many years of supporting John's this was the first time he did not have in stock the item I went for - hanging basket bracket!!! However he did stock red tile polish which we have had difficulty obtaining. A great local shop.

Wow where do I start ? This shop is fantastic, what the shop don't have you don't want. John and Granville really know there stuff. I joked one day and said do you sale budgie seed , been buying it there ever since .
