The worst! First of all, I had booked a car for a Sunday evening collection at 5pm and no-one bothered to turn up. At 7.30pm, a lady called Courtney called me to ask if my car collection had gone well. As it turned out later (as informed to me by a colleague within the branch), Courtney was the staff member who should have been at the branch during the collection so she knew only too well that the collection had not taken place as planned. On Monday morning, I return to the branch again to collect the car that I had booked and the staff were late so no-one was available to serve at 8am. At 8.30am, I was provided with an electric car and told that it was the only vehicle available - this despite the fact that I had reserved a petrol vehicle. Within 2.5 hours of driving the car, I received a warning sign that the battery was running low. I stopped at the service station to find that the fast charging option is not working in the Ora electric car so we sat in the service station for two hours just trying to get a charge of 20 miles to get us safely to our next location. An absolute farce! At the time of writing - situation not yet resolved...

Terrible, I booked and paid for a car with another company and my husband ran 4 miles to pick up the car. They did not have any car and said their system cant keep up with same day bookings! I did not want to repeat this experience, so called Europcar. I spoke to two separate people who assured me that a car was available and encouraged me to make the booking. Luckily I did not book and my husband called the branch in Plymouth. No cars were available. Why can’t car hire companies have a system that actually knows if they have a car or not? Why are they so keen to take money when no car is available?

Really great service for car and van hire! Reasonably priced and good quality vans. Welcoming staff team and very willing to help. Bee was amazing and did everything by the book. I needed a van to move my staff for relocation to Milton Keynes and I am very happy with the service I've received.I would definitely use them again in the future!

Had an event is Stirling so needed a hire car to drive up to Scotland due to train strikes. The Europcar centre in Poole were very helpful, the lady assisting me appreciated I had a long drive ahead so got me on my way as quickly as possible.

The young lass with the South African accent deserves a raise. 5 star service from her. We had a faulty car with a tyre that kept losing pressure. We had picked up the car in Bristol and the problem became evident very quickly. We went to 2 other Europcar on our way to Poole with frustrating experiences.This young woman listened and tried to find us a solution. The company originally offered us a direct swap for an electric car as this is what they had available. However we were travelling to places that could not be guaranteed to have charging points and they only let you have one swap. They could supply a car a couple of days later and we were in Poole anyway so we could wait. The car we got, a Kia Sportage , was excellent. She actually gave us a direct phone number for the Bournemouth office too which was appreciated as the centralised Europcar phone number tends to send you in circles which is very frustrating.

Booking on line was easy. However when we turned up we were not given the size car we booked we were given a smaller car which was in a bad condition with noisy engine. We were offered an alternative for an extra £100 a day which was not within our budget and just told they will look into the car. No apology or refund for size difference

I had a fantastic experience with Europcar in Bournemouth when I rented a van for my move. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the van was in excellent condition. The whole process was smooth and stress-free, making my move a lot easier. I highly recommend Europcar Bournemouth for your rental needs!

I would actually award zero stars if given the option. I booked a small automatic car a month in advance. The day before I am due to collect the car I am informed that the car I booked is no longer available. I was offered an electric car which does not suit me as I have nowhere to charge it. Unfortunately I was left without a car and had to cancel my trip.
