The Wayfarer Inn
Our group of five motorcyclists recently stayed at The Wayfarer Inn and here's our straightforward assessment.Located directly on the beachfront, The Wayfarer Inn is housed in an older building and benefits from the charm of its scenic setting. The facility offers parking nearby which was convenient for our group and our motorcycles.At around £50 per night, the pricing seemed fair for basic accommodations. The breakfast, though simple, was freshly prepared each day. We also found the in-house pub and restaurant to be quite lively, hosting many locals and creating a vibrant atmosphere.Unfortunately, the condition of the Inn significantly detracted from our overall experience. The interiors were not just basic but felt neglected. Issues such as mould and broken furniture were more than minor inconveniences, posing potential health and safety concerns. These aspects significantly impacted our comfort and the overall quality of our stay.Despite these shortcomings, one positive aspect of our experience was the Inn's operator. He was extremely friendly, putting in genuine effort to assist us throughout our stay, which did not go unnoticed.However, given the current state of the accommodations, we can only provide The Wayfarer Inn with a two-star rating. While it has a few positives, such as the friendly operator, convenient parking, and beachfront location, the neglect and maintenance issues are substantial and need to be addressed immediately. With some serious attention to these matters, The Wayfarer Inn could significantly improve and provide a far more pleasant experience for its guests.

Visited for dinner and ate from the specials board. The fish was all absolutely delicious. We had scallops to start which we shared, then the hake and the smoked haddock. Superb food.

Nice place with a really good rear garden.Food is good quality, although portion size is on the large side.Only negative is the price of the beer is on the higher side.Staff are friendly and helpful.

Great little pub near the beach, hidden away up a side street but definitely check it out. Great service, tasty well presented, well cooked food, reasonably priced fir the area. Nice beer garden, dog friendly

Very friendly and attentive staff, lovely location and the was amazing, The sea food platter was stunning, massive portions and so tasty. Congratulations to the staff for truly welcoming atmosphere.

Been here a few times now and the food has been delicious and not the run of the mill pub grub. Great choice of fresh local produce used in most of the dishes. Can heartily recommend

First time coming here and we're glad we did. The food was AMAZING! 3 adults and 1 child, we all had different things and all said how delicious it was.Big selection of drinks too and all reasonably priced.Will definitely be returning.

Spent a week in Instow on holiday and came here on numerous occasions. They were very accommodating for a large group (10 of us and 2 dogs). We all had a delicious Sunday roast and have to say it was top notch. Once of the nicest roast beefs I`ve ever had. Really nice veg, decent gravy and the horseradish sauce had some real kick. The beer was very good too. 4 of us (and 1 dog) also went in on a Monday night to watch the live footy game (West Brom won !) and although it was quiet we had a good time. The staff here are really friendly and are good at their jobs. Prices are very reasonable. Would I come here again ? Yes without a doubt. Recommended

Tidy bar with a lovely beer garden. Dog friendly. Nice friendly staff and traditional pub grub. Just a minute away from the beach. A nice place to go with the family.

The Wayfarer Inn
Superb atmosphere. Brilliant service. Great food. Proper pub. People, chat, atmosphere, happy staff, large but fresh local selection of meals. Our server Liberty could not have been more helpful. Other servers also superb and cheerful smiles and eye contact. Great job front and back of house. Chef's, well done.
