Exodus

Having previously enjoyed nights at this club, my latest visit has left me vowing never to return. I attended with my 2 friends on a busy Saturday night, and enjoyed dancing for an hour or so. At some point we went up to the bar to get some water, simply because we were thirsty after dancing for a while. At this time, one of the bouncers came up to our group, singled out our friend (who had the least amount to drink out of all of us) and asked her to leave. We then asked him why, and he proceeded to grab her by the arm and try to force her out of the club. We tried our best to ask him why we were leaving, all the while volunteering that we would leave willingly after being allowed to collect our jackets. The staff were rude and unhelpful to us, and this is a serious violation of the rights of any person who had been spending money in the venue all evening. Upon asking (the following day) for clarification and an apology for the brutal behaviour we experienced, the presumable management (although we cannot be certain) remained unhelpful and unwilling to take any responsibility for the manner in which their staff acted, simply stating that we were not nice" to the security staff - an unsurprising observation

bouncer told my friend to uncross his legs??? and was shamed for wearing a crop top. absolutely ridiculous

Racially profiled by the bouncer and refused to share badge and company information, I would avoid Exodus altogether.

Best night I've ever had in Aberdeen.

This place hasn't changed in years. They're still playing the same sort of music, still got reasonable entry fees and the drinks are still reasonably affordable. I honestly felt like I'd travelled back in time.

Great night dancing, friendly staff

This club occupies the same premises as Opaa and One Love. It's main strength is DJ music and a variety of strong beverages. Food is served, and yes, even as takeaway. Good food too. Try the fried tilapia with fries or plantain. Chicken wings are a staple here. There is a strong African presence but it is great to see other ethnic groups including Leeds' British folks. The toilet does get a queue it really would be a boon to see this expanded to reduce the wait and pressure. The crowd at the bar is testimony to the popular variety of drinks on sale. This is a fairly newish venue, of course it used to be a restaurant years ago. The centre part of Exodus serves as a dance floor, and there is no shortage of dancers here. Large speakers close to the entrance and DJ desk blare out that distinctive Amapiano and Afro Beat sound. Depending on the DJ, there might be a taste of Rhumba music too. Exodus has room for innovation but modernising this premises would require massive capital investment. On-street parking is plenty. MC Joe and Mocash Entertainment are creating something worth checking out.

Great music. Staff are awesome. The ambience is crackin too. Highly recommend
