In-Excess Fair Oak Garden Centre

I had serious lunch envy here when I met my sister. She ordered fish and chips while I had a cheese scone. Don't get me wrong the scone was delicious. I'm a regular here for the scones and excellent coffee but her fish and chips looked heavenly. I'm having that next time!The food is always lovely here. I've had breakfast and had the veggie quiche from the lunch menu. Everything is nicely presented and the staff are friendly. And it's good value for money.The garden centre is also great for plants as well as household bits and pieces. Often at better prices than elsewhere.It's become our go to garden centre. Can highly recommend it!

Very reasonable prices , clean and helpful

Went here for breakfast and to buy some plants. Café looks pretty good but came away quite disappointed. Generally wasn't a welcoming vibe, we all felt it was a little cold and stand-offish in the restaurant. Food wise, never been somewhere where the big breakfast" doesn't come with toast

First visit and was very impressed with the variety and quality of plants on offer. Decided to have a bacon brie & cranberry baguette for lunch and was not disappointed. Will definitely visit again.

In-excess in fair oak is a good shop for all sorts, from gardening supplies and car cleaning to treated timber and clothing. Stock is normally pretty good, with a nice cafe at the rear of the garden centre. Prices are good value and staff are always happy to help.

A great morning out. Dogs very welcome, made us more relaxed as they were not left home alone. Thank you. I am returning with my friends from Bournemouth as we are planning a lunch out. The stock is amazing at very reasonable prices. Good coffee, and very approachable friendly staff. Can’t wait to visit Christmas shop later in year. I’m disabled, it’s wheelchair friendly, spacious and also has craft centre with fish ‘Koi Carp’ on the same site, plus gift shop. Loads for all the family. Keep up the good work..

Love this place, great to browse and pick up a bargain. The new coffee shop is beautiful too, a lovely place to sit and warm up on a cold day the log burners are a nice addition.

Unfortunately not a good experience on this day . A hot hot day, the restaurant/cafe had no air cooling or fans. There was a dog being dragged round and allowed inside the café after I had seen it poo in the indoors garden centre area (and the owner did not pick it up). Couldn't find any staff nearby to let them know. Food was awful and we returned it and left.

This visit was just to view plants and outside materials ready for proposed changes to our garden .Plenty of stock at the time of this visit.June 2021First visit to the restaurant since lockdownA transformation of the restaurant has taken place.THE GLASS HOUSE RESTAURANT"On arrival the restaurant is pleasing to the eye. It was spotless and the members of staff who either greeted or served us were excellent.Very nice place to enjoy our breakfasts. The food was hot and and well cooked.There is a separate area for people who wish to dine and bring their dogs.Great improvements have taken place since the garden centre became. "In- Excess"Good range of quality plants

NIce place. Nice things for the birds and they have nice Christmas decorations as well at Christmas time. The refurbishment Restaurant looked great and cakes are nice. The Scones look nice as well and taste nice too.
